57. The Fugitive Easily one of the best action films of the 90's... This film has two great actors, ford, Tommy Lee Jones... The story is great and complex but it has interesting settings. Through the rural outside of Illinois to the heart of Chicago. The story is a wild journey through sewer tunnels, into a dam and on the L- train. This film is lots of fun and it is one of the few good ones in this genre.

56. Amelie It is a film depicting a the everyday life of a strange shy girl in Paris. The film is about shy women going through life and how she does her best to mae everyone around her happy. The film is very random and the main charatcer is very akward in the beginning. Quote: Narrator: Amélie still seeks solitude. She amuses herself with silly questions about the world below, such as "How many people are having an orgasm right now?" [scenes of various orgasms taking place] Amélie: Fifteen. It is a film in french and its a nice funny film that leaves you feeling all fuzzy inside.

55 .The Breakfast Club An 80's gem like back to the future. The great thing about this film is that its cool, funny and very serious all at the same time. All the typical characters of a teenager were present. The cool kid, the trouble maker, the nerd, the prom queen and the wierd girl. The chemistry is amazing among all of these characters and it is no doubt the best high school film ever made. Yeah also the ending music is very cool

sorry for the delay... another great German film... 54. Das Boot A very accurate depiction of life in a submarine. The movie mostly took place mostly in the Sub, so the film always felt claustrophobic. The movie has an anti-war message and it is quite tragic especially the ending. It is easily one of the better well known German films and is the best submarine movie ever.

Cool thread that I've perused on occasion but have never considered doing. Would you guys have any interest in my potential list, or is there a line halfway around the block already?

53. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade The most comical of all of the films, the movie is a father-son tale about getting the Holy Grail from the Nazi's...

52. The Usual Suspects A 90's gem indeed... This is another great Bryan Singer film and yes he made other great films apart from X-men 2 and Kevin Spacey is just amazing in this film. This is one really good film and I wished they made more crime drama's like these.

51. The Untouchables An 80's classic and this film has some serious issues and some parts are just plain bad, however the film feels so much like its setting. The film has great actors, Sean Connery is easily amazing in this role and Costner is really good as well. De Niro was a disappointment, as we all know from Godfather part 2, Taxi Driver and Goodfellas that he is really good at being a evil villain or a mobster. I find this film to be a soft mobster flick but it still plenty of swearing , violence for everyone. It is a good film but I am certain Francis Ford Coppola could have made it much better.

 Re: KJ User's Top 100 Lists Vol.2 - Mannyisthebest
well I enter the top 50 finally with a film many of my fellow friends in High School just adored. The film some of you may find repulsive was ranked the top film ever. Even above LOTR and Godfather in my local High School. Al Pacino does a great role, however I don't even think it is his best anyways.. Okay which film is it??? Quote: Say hello to my little friend" 50. Scarface This a great example of a film that is much more popular today then when it was released... I don't like films with a lot of violence and swearing and this one has a lot of both, but the film is still really well made and is easily now an 80's classic like how Goodfellas is a 90's classic. The chainsaw is nothing unusual these days but back then it was very disturbing and the amount of swearing is just amazing really. I could not imagine a man could swear so much. The film is like a classic Greek tragedy where he becomes all great and he goes out with a massive bang. The ending sequence is a very popular scene where Tony is high and gets shot a hundred times and takes out like 50 guys anyways. It was a combined effort from Brian De Palma and Oliver Stone and he did an amazing job and he still does. American Gangster is almost a rip off from this film.

 Re: KJ User's Top 100 Lists Vol.2 - Mannyisthebest
a comedy legened this film is... Quote: "I am serious...And don't call me Shirley 49. AIRPLANE! this film mixed in with Dr.Strangelove and Monty Python are easily the best comedies ever made and really nothing has come close. Some other films are funnier but are nowhere near as good. This is a film that is hilarious and witty and is a type of comedy that I wish was used more. The randomness of the movie has influenced many shows today like Family guy. The movie is just so funny. In one scene the guy saws use the instruments and they start playing musical instruments... Leslie Nielsen is just amazing at how he stay so clueless even the world around him is falling around, and that is what makes him so funny and the film as well.

A film with great acting and an amazing story... 48. Glory The film has Matthew Broderick, Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman and they all are great. The whipping scene is just brutal and the final charge is just amazing. The film is a perfect mix of action and story and it does one hell of a job.

Now this is a film is a great classic. 47. The Great Escape This is one film, where old timers and young people can both enjoy. It is not dated much, and the story and acting is great. Its tense, funny, and sad all at the same time and is easily a very fun entertaining film with a great storyline.

another timeless adventure classic... 46. Raiders of the Lost Arc Easily one of the most popular adventure films ever made, this film is the definition of a good popcorn film. Films like TF are entertaining but their storyline and acting are not good at all (and if you find it good, i pity thee). This film is hugely entertaining but it has a great storyline and and wonderful acting from Ford. Another timeless classic imo...

 Re: KJ User's Top 100 Lists Vol.2 - Mannyisthebest
Now a film that makes Henry Fonda fans go WTF?? Henry Fonda is the bad guy??? 45. Once Upon a Time in the West The good the bad and the ugly is respected and is seen as the best western film, but this one is forgotten. The problem is the first time you watch, you can't get over the fact Henry Fonda is a villain. Like Henry Fonda is like Mr. Good guy Honesty!! 12 angry men, Grapes of Wrath come on! Henry Fonda freaks you out. Its not that he does anything a villain typically does do, but you have this image of Henry Fonda and would not expect him to act like such. The films also features Bronson in its best role and this film shows why Sergio Leone is the king of westerns no contest! The film has that epic, massive scale and the music is chilling and exciting. This film is just so manly really like the Good, The bad and the Ugly, and its a film that one can still enjoy today. The problem is that it is slow in pace but it always leads to a build up to a great scene. Films like this, The Searchers, The Good the bad and The Ugly and the seven samurai have had a tremendous influence on Cinema...

44. Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid A western film which is epic, serious and hilarious all at the same time. Few films pulled such a mix of genres... Comedy, action, Suspense, Adventure, Epic, Western The film was just so different from the other westerns and with greats like Paul Newman and Robert Redford, how can you go wrong.

next two are Spielberg films... 43. Jaws Now I would consider this one of the first modern blockbusters and the film that started of the notion of the summer movie season. It had a massive boxoffice run and is hugely popular today. A film that has made us freak out about sharks forever, Jaws is an amazing film, and shows us why Spielberg belongs with the great director's like Hitchcock and Kubrick.

 Re: KJ User's Top 100 Lists Vol.2 - Mannyisthebest
now another film that changed cinema. This film finally convinced many great directors to start using CGI in film. 42. Jurassic Park This is one of the biggest films ever in box office gross and is likely one of the most popular films ever and is the "summer tent pole blockbuster". The films CGI is still not dated at all really, so I could not have imagined the shock in 1993. The movie had a massive market campaign of over 65 million dollars, which was unheard of. The is film is a true blockbuster. It is big, huge and its good as well.

 Re: KJ User's Top 100 Lists Vol.2 - Mannyisthebest
Hitchcock enters the list!!! No real lover of cinema has a top 100 list without a hitchcock film... 41. North by Northwest Perhaps his most epic and vast film that suffers from being to typical but it is a great ride nonetheless. From New York to Chicago to Mt. Rushmore, your in for a crazy ride in a film that started it all. Hitchcock in his films makes films that are quite sexual without being sexual at all. He gives all the female leads a blond exotic look who look smart, cultured and sophisticated. You see this with Grace Kelly in Rear Window and Kim Novak in Vertigo. Both of those women plus Eve Marie in this film look amazing and really alleviate the film beyond so many others from that time. The women don't only look good but are very interesting characters in themselves. Cary Grant is just amazing in this film. Smart, funny, hilarious and charming all at the same time. The locations of the film are just amazing from The UN to New York to a farmer's field getting run over by a crop duster to Mt. Rushmore. The film however drags in the fact that it is too long, the central plot is too twisted and is not as suspenseful as other Hitchcock films. The storyline is strange and not clear and is not seen as important. The film is however much more entertaining and more light hearted then Rear Window and vertigo. The film however suffers from being to long however this film is just amazing and is one of the original spy dramas and is still one of the best. Its a film one can still watch today and be widely entertained.

40.Unforgiven An epic western with Clint Eastwood and Morgan Freeman. What more can one ask for!! This film looks at the darker side of the wild west. It criticizes why me worship this outlaws as if they were great men. In this film you get a different perspective of the west then you get in their other western films. nonetheless its the best western to be made since the 60's no doubt and it won the Oscar for 1992.
