Except I probably won't be able to.
I'm trying, but if you see 5 next week, that means I'll need 15 just to tie you. And that's not going to happen.

I'm very disappointed that I haven't seen very many films this year. I was hoping for at least 50 but oh well. I've been really busy with work and school. I will have time to catch up with the rest of the films I missed in theaters thanks to Netflix.

Well, you can look up all of them at IMDB, they exist
I admit, I did have an advantage because of the Fantasy Film Festival, but I actually saw only 14 movies there (with two of them being The Devil's Rejects and Sin City).

C'mon, go for it, I would like a tight race.
I'll try to see March of the Penguins tomorrow.

Dolce hasn't seen all of those in theatres, I am pretty sure. Some of those movies were part of Foreign/Indie Film Film Nights (Lost Skeleton of Cadavra, Night of the Living Dead etc.)

Or lose, depending on how you look at it.

Well, I'm at 85.
I was supposed to see two today but that never happened.
Tomorrow I'm seeing Narnia again I think. Was supposed to see Dreamer instead but oh well.
Sunday will be nothing.
Monday-Wednesday I'll average one per day. Thursday and Friday I'll see two or three. Saturday I'll see one. That's 10.

Hmmm, too bad then....
Then again, if you start off next year as wel as you are finishing this, we'll have a nice race (and Zing should catch up then too).
I plan on seeing Match Point, March of the Penguins, Wallace & Gromit, Oliver Twist, Domino, Elizabethtown, Rumor Has It and 11:14 before the end of the year.
Maybe something else too.

So, since I haven't been following this thread...
Do you guys count only the theatre trips?

Yep. There is always next year.
Actually the real reason I fell behind is I limited my trips in the Spring. I picked up again during the summer and fall though.
If I had continued at the pace I'm at right now, I would have seen probably close to 150 movies.
Maybe next year.

Even more precise...we count the movies in theatres only, no repeat viewings are counted (even though you can mention them of course).

Actually similar for me. Rememeber when I had State Exams? I haven't been to theatres then at all for over five weeks. Otherwise, I would have crossed 100 movies long time ago.
