LMS was good, but over-rated, nowhere near Sideways or Knocked up for me ... I guess I just didn't connect with it enough, though I can totally see how if LMS DID connect with you, it would be one of your favorites. Either way, LMS wasn't that great for me.

I disagree with the use of "frat pack" and also with your assessment! 40 year old virgin is superior!

No, it's not. It may be the most mature, but that doesn't make it better than the others. Anchorman, in particular, is comedic genius.

Anchorman is also superior to Knocked up.

But hey, it's like arguing over chocolate chip cookies and chocolate cake!

I saw this Saturday and was blown away. It definitely wasn't as laugh-out-loud-funny as I thought it would be but man did I just FALL IN LOVE with it.

Katherine Heigl is one of the best actresses of her generation. She was amazing. As was Seth Rogan.

The supporting cast was uproarious and after loving every last bit of him for the past 3 of years, I've finally decided that Paul Rudd is officially the my cutest/hottest/favorite actor right now.

Erm apparently I was on crack when I said this and forgot about Little Miss Sunshine

Either way, though

Three beautiful comedies. :2thumbsup:

Carrel has only just joined the Frat Pack. Supposedly Vince Vaughn is the leader of the group. The Frat group was created as a result of Old School and a lot of movies the three leads usually appear with, most notably Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson.

I think Carell is funny but not a member, the only official film he was in was Anchorman. I would say Paul Rudd after appearing in Night at the Museum and this one certainly is an honorary member with Steve Carell.

I think I would go Frat Pack, and then Rogen, Carrell and Rudd are an offshoot of that. I like the Pledges idea.

I dont think knocked up or the 40 year old Virgin were funnier then Old School, Dodgeball, Wedding Crashers, and Anchorman, but are definitely higher than Zoolander and Starsky and Hutch

Ya know another great frat pack movie? Empire of the Sun -- that was one freaky frat pack comedy, man! I didn't know whether to laugh or cry...

Also it was good, but I'm undecided on whether it's as good as 40 Year Old Virgin. I mean, it's very sweet overall, and there are some great lines. But I didn't really laugh that much.

after watching the film, Knocked Up is not nearly as good as Virgin and Wedding Crashers.
