The problem with DCEU is the films are making money so they wont change path really and make substandard products.

I'm sure if the studio doesn't like something from the very early production time it's most likely they're just gonna change a director, writer, etc. I doubt that either studio or director want to headbutt throughout the production.

"Former Warner Bros. employee" could refer to someone who drives the tram for tours or sells hot dogs on the lot, and his/her understanding of the film business is woefully lacking (Warner Bros' chief source of revenue isn't theatrical production, for starters).

 Re: Marvel/DC/Comic Book Movie Discussion
So one of the main complaints about the DCEU is that it's too dark, dour or depressing and they respond to that by making Superman's suit black? Who is making these decisions?

Oh, that's Superman's suit?!
I had no idea. I thought it was some new character played by Chris Sylvia (I have no idea who he is).

You're quite the detective.
I guess it makes sense because he is meant to be dead. So the new suit could be cool.

 Re: Marvel/DC/Comic Book Movie Discussion
As for the suit, I like the idea that it's the same suit, but he was buried in it so it's lost all of the color underground. Then he's exposed/flies up to the sun and the color/him/persona returns to form. It probably won't be that brief an appearance, but I thought it looked interesting in the dream/mind fusing sequence during MOS so I don't think I'll mind too much.

Zendaya is actually playing Mary Jane Watson in SM: Homecoming.
I'm officially out. Mary Jane is a garbage SM storyline. And Zendaya shouldn't be in the movie.

She might be the worst actress in hollywood. And I'm done with MJ. Give me none or give me more Gwen.

Liz Allan would be a nice change of pace.

 Re: Marvel/DC/Comic Book Movie Discussion
Mary Jane is Spider-Man's longest lasting and most important love interest. Her inclusion makes sense, more so when it comes to distancing the film from the pair of Amazing films which had runner-up Gwen Stacy in it.
Liz Allan would be a meh choice, since she was never really a love interest of Peter's, aside from an early crush he had on her. Betty Brant would be a better choice than that, and even she is more of a footnote when it comes to Peter Parker love interests, especially compared to Gwen and MJ.
The most delicious thing about Zendaya portraying MJ is the outrage it's causing, because how dare they cast a black actress in a role that was white in the comics. As if her race was ever a defining feature of MJ; at least Zendaya fits the role of model-level beauty that MJ's supposed to have, as opposed to the average, stale piece of white bread that is Kirsten Dunst.

 Re: Marvel/DC/Comic Book Movie Discussion
Gwen Stacy is a far more important and influential character to Spider Man than MJ.

Magnus wrote: Well MJ is supposed to be the girl next door, not a model. Dunst actually fit the part but her acting in the role sucked. No, MJ was always supposed to be ridiculously attractive and had an actual career as a model in the comic books. She also came before Gwen by a few months, and has lasted over forty years longer than her, actually being married to Peter for a big part of that. Gwen's death was far more influential on Peter than Gwen herself was, she doesn't really compare to MJ.
