I saw it at a film festival myself, so I have no hope It´s going to get released here - hell, nowhere in Europe, really. Which is a shame, cause the movie deserves, at least, to be seen.

Wow, I didn't even know you liked Dark Water so much. I thought it was very underappreciated and delivered a great mix of drama and horror in one and it was superbly acted too.
Desperately anticipate Lord of War still...

Lecter will be happy once more.
loyal, how did Downfall rank below King Kong when you gave the former an A+ and the latter an A?

Me = VERY HAPPY
It was close between Batman Begins and Downfall on my list, but Ganz gave the edge for Downfall.
I can see why you wuld put Kiss Kiss Bang Bang ahead of Downfall and many other flicks. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is the screenwriter's wet dream. I loved it too, but nowhere as much as you did.
The only thing that puzzles me is that AHOV made it to your #1. Now I did love it and it is on my Top 10 as well, but #1? Hmmm...what did you love so much about it?

Nice list, mostly.

I think I mentioned it before but #1 and#2 are essentially interchangable on my list. I gave AHOV the #1 spot over Grizzly Man because AHOV struck a chord with me, vs Grizzly which blew me away. The notion of leaving well enough alone, buried secrets, his passion for violence. AHOV was more about repression than BBM. Top notch acting and directing.
It was more why shouldn't I give it #1. And I couldn't find a reason.

Fair enough. It just did not hit me as hard as it could have.
But I thought it was a great depiction of the motivation for violence (especially with the part of his son beating up the bully).
