Any guesses as to what the teaser film(s) the teaser/trailer would be attached to? I'm also looking forward to Narnia, but i guess thats for another thread

Web diaries of movies in the making
Sophie Tedmanson, Entertainment reporter
March 23, 2005
THE potential Hollywood blockbuster Superman Returns won't reach cinemas until next year, but today you can watch the film being made in Sydney - on the internet.
Its American director, Bryan Singer, has been posting video diaries - or filmblogs - on the web for fans to see how the film is made.
Singer follows Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson, who recorded filmblogs for more than 100 days during the shoot for his remake of King Kong in Wellington.
Singer, best known for The Usual Suspects and the two X-Men movies, is filming Superman Returns at Sydney's Fox studios and on location at Tamworth, in northern NSW.
In the past two weeks he has put footage on the Superman fansite http://www.bluetights.net of the production office, and the set they have built and cornfields they have grown on a farm near Tamworth.
Yesterday there was a new journal entry featuring American actor Stephen Bender, who plays the young Clark Kent, going through stunt rehearsals and learning how to fly in a harness.
Blog is an internet term for a written diary. Blogs have been running for years, but filmblogs, where directors show pre-release footage, are relatively new.
Mark Pesce, a lecturer in interactive media at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School in Sydney, said filmblogs were a clever marketing ploy, and could also be educational tools.
When Jackson began his regular film diary on the King Kong fansite, http://www.kongisking.net, the school immediately placed a link for students on its website.
Since then, students have been able to watch the director at work.
Jackson's King Kong diary, which has been online since last September, includes footage of the set, special stunt and visual effects techniques, and the film's stars Naomi Watts, Jack Black and Adrien Brody sending Christmas greetings.
In Singer's diary entry this week, the director describes in detail how he plans to shoot a particular scene in Clark Kent's farmhouse bedroom.
Mr Pesce said filmblogs were likely to become more common in the future.
While they were usually linked to cult-driven movies that had a ready-made fanbase, he said, they could be used with any type of film.
"Can you imagine if there was a blog with Eucalyptus, and Russell Crowe, Nicole Kidman or even the director made entries?" he said.
"The whole of Australia would log on and watch it."

Production Diary: Day 115!
Peter Jackson answers fan requests and gives us a detailed look at the sound department. Oscar award winner Hammond Peek and others show us the day to day challenges of making sure the sound is recorded, and recorded well! As a nice little bonus we get to see Jack Black flubbing his lines, a little more from Colin Hanks and Adrien Brody!

Production Diary: Day 118!
Helldivers take to the air! Well...sort of..Production Diary 118 is all about the famous planes used near the final scene in King Kong. Peter Jackson and Randy Cook are seen overlooking the plane shoot, PJ is a big World War II plane buff and you can see the sheer geeky joy in his face watching the guns go off. Gene DeMarco gives us a behind-the-scenes tour behind the making of the authentic plane, and we get to see the some great footage! Take a look!

Looks like I'll be dropping a bit of coinage for the entire collection.
I'll need to build an annex onto my house at this rate.
Thanks Weta

Strange... works for me...
HERE is the link to the pictures. Now it's not movie Kong mind you, just a small drawing of the WETA Collectibles Kong statue replica. Moreover it's debatable whether this is the final desing of Kong, could be only a suggestion.

A lot of people including myself are in the dark in regards to the title of the film. If Jackson want's to call it King Kong or Kong most people would I guess gather that It is a remake of the 1933 classic. They, I think are going to be amazed.Top Three for 2005.

WOW those Weta Collectibles look fantastic, i particularly like that Ceratops skull, they're one of my favourite dinosaurs, almost a blend of a Triceratops and Torosaur skull......BTW will we get to see it face off with a T-Rex or Kong?
I'm feeling better and better about this movie, especially since that Video Diary on the Press coming into NZ and PJ showing them an 18 min clip of the movie......those moving cars and New York shots look very epic and grand.
All we need now is a teaser trailer and the fans will go beserk, it's definately going to be between ROTS, WOTW and KK for the #1 spot this year, with Narnia brining in the rest.
I must commend you Nazgul9 for your continous effort, this thread really should be renamed to yours, and thankyou for keeping us all informed....
BTW - i saw the Ring Two yesteday, although the movie was slightly dissapointing compared to the original, Naomi Watts was fantastic. With that blonde hair, there's no need for makeup, she's Fay Wray already....

Id just like to add a little something to Nazgul's earlier response to these Kong statues. As stated earlier these arent final designs of what Kong will look like. These are illustrations giving a basic idea of what he will look like. It even says under each statue illustration that the image is just a sample. Plus, nearly every one one of Kongs statues differs in design to the next.
Jackson has already made it clear that he is trying hard to keep Kong's design a secret until the movie's release.
As for the title of King Kong...>Who knows.
While it does say "Kong : the Eighth Wonder of the World" it could just be the title of Dark Horses Kong statue line. If you look at the bottom left hand corner of the statue pages you'll see that it says "Universal Pictures King Kong movie"...So basically there's conflicting information here.
BTW, Im so glad the Ceratops scene will be included in Jacksons version...In the original film the scene was dropped .

Thanks!
Nah, i'm quite pleased with the situation like it is now. This way whenever someone's unhappy with something regarding this thread i can always point out to them that it's not my thread, that i'm just helping out. With great power comes great responsibility, you know, and i'm not keen on responsibility.
