Re: Return of the All-Time Top 100 Movie List Thread (Magnus Lydon is another movie, for me, that just couldn't keep it going all the way through. His rise to power is so much more interesting than his fall. The movie still looks absolutely gorgeous throughout though.
The Birds is really great. I've only seen half of M but remember enjoying it.

The Birds' first half is a tough sit for me. I don't consider it one of Hitch's more memorable films beyond the cool concept and a few terrific moments of suspense.

It's pure trying-to-be-seen-as-knowledgeable snobbishness. I wish he'd be honest to himself and list Transformer style movies because he clearly enjoys those more.
