As Algren pointed out Hugo was from 2011, so I will replace it with Zero Dark Thirty, which seems to be performing well as propaganda on American audiences, but was a seriously dull film otherwise.

So, I think I've seen pretty much all I plan on seeing from 2012 (I'm skipping Les Miserables because I don't want to spoil my memory of seeing the astounding live production years ago - - I'll just wait to see it live again one day) - - so here is my final list cut down to the worst of the worst bottom 10:

Rock of Ages
The Pirates! Band of Misfits
Zero Dark Thirty

^ I assume The Amazing Spiderman, The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises and The Hobbit are even worse movies than those you list because you deny to watch them

I can't say for certain - - but I certainly wasn't willing to waste my time watching them.

I wish I had the willpower to not see the big movies in a given year, but I have to see them as they might be really entertaining. In 2012, the biggest two movies (The Dark Knight Rises, The Avengers) were duds, but the next two were great (The Amazing Spider-Man, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey), so I'd rather see the duds for the occasional brilliant one.
