Re: List Your Favourite Film of Each Year I've used the-numbers release date info before. It has fewer and fewer releases the further you go back, but it usually has a lot of good ones. Also, I think you can sort individual years on imdb by number of votes and ranking, which could help see what the most people have seen and what people like the most, but I could be wrong.

Re: List Your Favourite Film of Each Year OK, this is my list of favorite films of each year -- not what I would consider the "best" film for each year but instead the film that I personally enjoy the most from that year.
It tends to be heavy on comedies. Guess that's just my style.
The frustrating thing, as some have noted here, is that some years were pretty darn terrible and other years had so many good films it is almost impossible to choose one.
