"Honolulu starbright - the [BKB] remains the same" - Jimmy Page
Sure, in terms of money made, Alien vs. Predator was a success. But the fact that it opened to "nearly" $40 million and couldn't hit $100 million is...pathetic. So, quit defending its popularity and quality, because, if it were a "quality" film, it would have had much better WOM. The fact that Terminator 3 had better legs and numbers than The Hulk and Alien vs. Predator solidifies the argument that audiences want more Ahnuld!
You know something's wrong when the same 10 year olds who piss their pants on the idea of seeing a PG-13 movie without parents actively trash a movie while one near-40 year old defends it to death. What, is our dearest AVP too sophisticated for our younger audiences? Is there some subtle message that they don't grasp?
I don't believe that bigger numbers equate to better quality, but you always bring up AVP's gross whenever you attack the quality of another movie and it's really getting old.

Do you all know how many people hated The Village?! You won't find them here, but the general public hated The Village. But wait! If it was hated so badly, why the hell did it make $115 million at the Box Office?!
Come on all of you, stop using box office totals as an arguement. Every single damn movie has people who hate it and people who love it. You can't find a movie where every single person in the world would agree that it was great, or that it was bad. But they still make money anyways. Why? Because you don't know if it's good or bad until you see it.

You think I do? My top 5 movies make up an entire, whoppin' $97,830,731. If Hotel Rwanda makes $17m more, only then will the top 5 equal the amount The Village made. So, honestly, do you think I meant it?

Never saw Batman and Robin. But it's got Uma Thurman. That's gotta be the redeeming factor that prevents it from being an utter waste of time

Personally I dont care for a T4 anymore. They were already pushing it with T3 and ruined the whole ending of T2. I guess its just me but I thought that T3 was basically a rehash of T2 offering nothing that new in terms of CGI and the chase scenes werent as exciting as T2 despite having a bigger budget. Its probably why James Cameron didnt want to return since he already made a perfect ending for T2.

What about doing it without Arnie's character. A movie about the future war against the machines doesn't neccessarily need him anyway. It would be a completely different kind of movie, no Terminator send back in time thingy anymore, but an epic story about the human struggle to survive the conquering machines. Heck, it could be made into a whole new trilogy! Man, if only Cameron would be back for this, imagine what he could have done with this...
As much as i loved Arnie as the Terminator, his time is over. He's to old for this now.

Sorry if you and the other ADD ridden fanboys expected an Epic out of a movie with the word "VS" in the title, but that's clearly your problem..
I'm having a deja-vu here. The matrix is changing...
