Now, if your not interested in something like this, why would you go to the trouble of wasting your time and $$$ to see it if you don't care???

on Hulk it wasn't the marketing or the piracy. it was the bad word of mouth that caused HULK to gross what it did.

You know, just bouncing from site to site tonight, I'm amazed at the love it/hate it thing going for the HULK movie.. If you look at the MARVEL Ultimate Universe, the HULK is freaking massive and as big in the comics as he was the movie, but unfortunately, 98% of the moviegoing audience only identify with Lou Ferrigno as the HULK and NOT a CGI HULK no matter how well done he looked.. It's just the nature of the beast when it comes to something like this.. The TV Show of the 70's with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno was quite a show back then and many identified with that show and were probably hoping to see the exact same thing in the movie and didn't..

I have to ask... Is a Hulk sequel really necessary? I didn't hate the first movie (it was average in my book), but there just seems like no call for a second installment at this point.

I think they ought to let it lie for a decade or so, and then try another attempt at a completely revamped Hulk that isn't a "Hulk 2" movie. Similar to what Superman is going through right now, as the next one won't be known as a continuation of the Christopher Reeves Superman.

Plus it'll give time to get the taste of the old Hulk out of most people's mouths and enable it to start fresh all over again. Pushing the issue this quickly could doom the series for good.

I don't know, I think it'll be fine at the box office if it's catered to kids. It definitely has life in the tank, unlike the pathetic Matrix that is about the best example of how WOM alone, when the marketing was fine, and no piracy issues hindered it, could completely kill a movie's potential. :down: That was the biggest failure in recent memory.

Anyway, I'll be looking forward to hearing more. I'd definitely give it a look before some shitty new romcom or something like that. I just hope they don't dumb it down too much. [-o<
