1. *sigh* White Noise D-

I might have to walk out if I see something worse. Last year I started with Torque, which was hugely entertaining, then The Buttefly Effect. I guess I'm seein Coach Carter next, so that'll probably be good. But yeah, for January I'll also see: Coach Carter, Elektra, Assault on Precinct 13, Alone in the Dark, and maybe Hide and Seek.

I really want to see Coach Carter, and cannot wait for Hide and Seek

For January....
the only movie I know I will see is Elektra
the only other movie I want to see is Coach Carter
Anything else I see will be a 2004 release and probably foreign.

WHITE NOISE Gets an "A" from me so far and is one of the BEST films so far for 2005.. Excellent, absolutely excellent and it's nice to see Michael Keaton back to.. It's also nice to see this movie make more than what was predicted and had it of opened up on more screens than it did, maybe it would've come alot closer to my prediction than it did.. 20 Million for a movie this good should be expanded on more screens and the studio fucked up and dropped the ball on that.. Hell they probably figured that since it didn't have some WB teen cast in the movie, that it wouldn't of done well.. ](*,)

I agree it's great to see Keaton back, as he's one of my favorite actors of all time.

I just wish he would have picked a better role to revive his career with.

However, the box office success of the film ensures he'll be getting more work, which is a good thing. I think...

White Noise

White Noise proves great marketing can overcome anything. The only reason this piece of crap got a + on the D was because it was good at maintaining some form of tension. The concept was cool, but the story ruined it completely. And Keaton has gotten rusty, in my opinion. There were some cringe worthy moments for me in terms of his acting. He should stay retired, or whatever he's doing.

PLOTHOLE (SPOILER***READ AT YOUR OWN RISK***): So, these 3 black figures were controlling this bushy guy to kidnap and kill women for them, yet when Keaton's character arrives, the black figures swoop down and kill him with hardly any effort. So, why the heck do they need to control some moron guy to do the work for them if they can more easily do it themselves? Unless there is some hidden explanation that I didn't see, this is a major PLOTHOLE. Not to mention the ending was just stupid, period.

PEACE, Mike ;)

People often use the "you're reading too much into it" line when trying to defend a defenseless movie. Why shouldn't people dig deeper into movies? Why shouldn't people demand something more than mediocrity? I applaud people who are not willing to let a lazy filmmakers helf hearted attempt at a story line slide. The "you're reading too much into it" line is almost as useless as the "check your brain at the door, it's a popcorn movie" line.

Christ, this coming from a guy who loved The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Remake.. Movies are meant to be escapist entertainment and what you may consider Mediocrity, the casual average moviegoer who doesn't read so heavily into movies with the who what where when and why factor consider great entertainment... WHITE NOISE was Great Entertianment with plenty of jolts and scares that worked and Thank God it didn't copy The Grudge or The Ring to put it over.. You all have to understand that the internet world that we see here is comprised of less than 1% than what the real world thinks in not overanalyzing movies and there dialogue and acting and editing and all this other nitpicky bullshit people on the Net like to complain about..

See it and don't listen to the overly nitpicky film experts on the internet who live to complain and tear movies up anyway.. Be your own judge and you'll find this movie to be one of the best this year thus far.. =D>

TCM did not have rave reviews and if anything, it was torn to shreds by critics and labeled not near as good as the original which isn't saying much..

I always see the movies I want to see. I occasionally read reviews and I listen to what my friends have to say, but if I want to see a movie I'll just see it no matter what.
