I don't see how you can really heavily confirm that K-Pax was about extra terrestrials (which I agree with you, although, he could have been insane). And then just say "Contact implied aliens".

Are you talking about the visual appearance of the aliens? Because Contact was entirely about, from the ground up, societies encounter with an exterrestrial culture. I don't think you can say Contact only "implied" that there was aliens and then turn around and say K-Pax was solidly an alien film.

Assuming you believe that the character of Kevin Spacey was an alien, then technically, we saw an alien in the movie and it was not implied (like i said, its subject to ones' interpretation which is why i said it was indeed an alien movie the way "I" was it)

I agree with you that Contact at the end of the day about society's encounter with E.T. culture. But this is a speculation throughout the movie if indeed what theyre working with is indeed alien or contrived from the mind of a crazy man. Hence the "Implied". We don't really see the alien (if you wish to believe that the character of Jodie Foster dreamt that whole thing).
