Who knows, it could be Kingpin, I just hope not Michael Clark Duncan, but the Lizzard I would say is the easiest choice. Its probably someone that Spidey kills as the symbiote.

Raimi may have said that he's not find of VENOM some time back, that's until FOX offered him an insane amount of $$$ and now he probably loves the character.. As for the 4th Villain?? I'd love to see either Scorpion or Electro, but here's an interesting dumb piece of uno I found at RT from sonmeone who found this at IMDB: Apparently, the character of CARNAGE is in the Credits.. Check it out and see if it's bogus or not..

It seems as if Venom won't be appearing in 3...It's just a vibe I've been getting too...

I want to it to be Mysterio. After all, what's better than a villain with a giant fishbowl for a head ?
Seriously, Mysterio or Carnage would be cool. Carnage always struck me as the most psychotic of the villains. What does Sandman look like? I never read a comic with him in it. The Lizard could work too because he's cool-looking.

Venom will appear, but at the very end. That's what the reports from superherohype indicate, and it makes sense. BUt...let's look at this: -Peter fighting against symboite -Love triangle -Sandman -Green Goblin 2 -4th villian -Eddie Brock(even if venom isn't in it until the end, you still have to show the progression of Eddie Brock) This has to be like 3 hours long. It can't be 2 hours like the first two were, no way you can get all those in without doing justice to each of them. Oh, and is anyone else getting a vibe that they might shoot Spider-man 4 like right after this? It seems this may end with a cliffhanger(no way they kill off Venom in the film if he just comes for the end or else this film will suck), and all the actors are kind of getting too old for their charecters, so they need to shoot SM4 before it becomes way too obvious that Toby is too old to play Peter.
You all really do worry too much about this movie.. Raimi has given us 2 damn good SPIDERMAN movies and there's no reason to think he won't with the 3rd film.. You've all got Joel Schumacher on the brain and associating his fuc*ups with Raimi who's never had a fuc*up with these last 2 movie's.. Why worry now??

But Rami did not write the story for the first two, which he is this time. My fear is more of the plot than direction. Even with great direction, a poor plot could make SM3 not be as good as SM2.
He's a big fan of the character and comic, he'll do just fine.. Stop worrying..

Magnus101 wrote: BKB_The_Man wrote: He's a big fan of the character and comic, he'll do just fine.. Stop worrying.. Didn't do a good job with the first one. In fact, the only reason why I like SM2 is because the F/X was great and Toby gives a great performance. The ending is horrible and I actually bumped my 8 / 10 for it down to a 7.75 / 10 because of the end that just ruins everything. I don't have faith in them giving all these plot lines justice because a lot of these plotlines don't involved Spider-man, and the films have not done any justice to any of the charecters aside from Peter and J.J.(who is the best charecter in the whole film and the films would serioulsy not be as good as they are without him). MJ, Auny May, Hary, etc. The films have failed to really done a good job with the supporting cast, and with SM3, a lot is going to be on the supporting cast, so I don't have that high of faith that they will do a good job with it. Really, the only reason why I am pumped for it is because the F/X should rock. Sandman & Venom would make for great CGI shots.
Well God, since you didn't care for it, then it must mean it sucked, even to the tune of 400 Million dollars domestically meaning you'd be hardpressed to see a SUPERMAN or BATMAN movie accomplish that.. I find it quite fascinating how nitpicky comicfans are about these sort of movies and expect everything to be like the comics and in a perfect world, that may just be, but since we don't live in a perfect world, then we have to accept the fact that the movies are the movies and the comics are the comics.. The sooner you accept this, the better off you'll enjoy these movies more.. Really, if I were you, I just wouldn't see SM3 and save yourself the aggravation of coming here to bitch about it..

Imagine a sequence like the train fight from Spider-Man II opening a film. Granted, you won't be able to properly introduce the baddie but the pay off would nevertheless be incredible.

They really need to end the series after #4 for awhile...It's starting to feel more like a running television show with no ending rather than an actual film which usually has a bit of closure involved. Get Hob Goblin and Venom in completely by the end of 4 and END IT!

Actually, that'd be great. Just showing a glimpse of Spidey's advenutre, right in the middle of it. The best would be actually opening the movie right in the middle of a huge fight sequence.

I'd actually be happy with just Eddie Brock in this one, and in the end Venom is introduced. That way Sandman, Hobogoblin, and the fourth villian could be the main focus of this one. After that in the 4th and possibly 5th movies, there's still lots of villians to go through. Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Mysterio, Rhino/Scorpio/Shocker, Lizard, and so on. I don't see why there'd need to be more than 5 movies, or if they did continue it it could be after a 10 year wait or something.

Exactly!
Open with Spidey being rammed through a wall by Rhino.

The film is making him the Hobogoblin, I'm fairly certain. At least that's what I've been hearing for a while.
