Spidey's experiencing a bad day courtesy of the Symbiote he's come in contact with, hence the black costume and dark hair....

Like Snrub, I hope for the best from this, as this is the first Superhero franchise to have a director last past #2.

And it really isn't as bad as you guys seem to think it is. They're set photos, for gods sake!

Here's new pics of SPIDERMAN with Gwen Stacey who appears to look a little chunky, but I suppose it's what's in the heart that counts..

Although BDH wouldnt have been my first pic for Gwen - Ive got faith in Raimi that this film will be awesome.

Though she does look unusually chunky...hhhhmmmm...couldnt be a Spidey baby now could it!?

Did they make her actually gain weight for the role? Cause i've never seen Howard with a belly, maybe it's just the outfit, someone on that forum mentioned it could be the harness, cause I mean look at her face, it's not big or chunky.

Didnt know that Mary Poppins has a cameo in Spidey 3.........

Big Spider-Man 3 Report and More Set Pics!

'Venom657' sent in this excellent report from the Spider-Man 3 set in New York. The scooper actually got a chance to briefly talk to director Sam Raimi who divulged a few details about the teaser trailer and Venom in the movie. There are some spoilers included, so only read ahead if you'd like to know certain things about the movie:

My brother was staying at the Hilton across the street from where they were filming, and I was a few blocks away. Knowing how big of a Spider-Man fan I am my brother immediately rushed to tell me what was going on when he found out what the men across the street were building around a fountain for. I freaked and ran down there myself at night and they told me to come back in the morning.

So when I got there, I saw Topher Grace and James Cromwell. I was stoked. The coolest thing though I noticed was the black and white Spider-Man 3 logo on the actors' chairs. They filmed a few scenes where "Captain Stacy" drives up to the wreckage scene and orders people around. Then "Eddie" drives up in a cab and starts snapping pictures, then Stacy yells at the cab to get away, and then they react to an explosion.

After they were done filming these scenes they moved the camera. (By the way I almost got my picture with Topher Grace, but this woman hopped in, then Topher walked away) Hence, me and my sister very sad.

But my dream came true when I saw Sam Raimi standing there not looking busy. I jumped in and immediately told him how much his movies meant to me, and I thanked him for doing these movies. He asked for my name and what I did. To which I replied I am ****** and I work at a coffee shop in California, in which we are all comic book fans, and all we do are discuss your movies, and I told him that I always defended his points. (Which I do) Then I started asking him the stuff you will be interested in. By the way while I was asking these questions a woman came up and a man and said, you aren't supposed to be talking about this. But I think Sam, seeing the excitement in me didn't want to turn me away.

First off, I asked him about the teaser trailer and I said, it's coming with Talladega Nights right? Before I finished asking the question, he said Superman. And I said what? Because you guys at Superhero Hype! said Talladega nights. Then Sam Raimi himself said Superman, and there was another man listening who confirmed that. But then Sam said well I don't know what "they're" doing but they told me Superman Returns. Keep a look out.

I had so many questions I don't know why I asked him these when I look back on it. Probably because Venom means so much to me. I first asked... and pointed to the chairs. Will Venom have a black suit with a "WHITE" logo, unlike black suit Spidey and he said yes. I think I said THANK YOU! Then I asked if Topher would be in a suit or if Venom would be CGI, to which he said he will be in a suit, and obviously the actors can only do so much with the heroes and so Venom will obviously have to have some CG. Then I said and he will be in the movie for the last ten minutes right? Then he hesitated, like he wasn't sure what to tell me then finally said "that's correct." Those weren't his exact words. But pretty close, this is all from memory. Then I thanked him again and walked away.

I went the next day too and you have most of the pictures. But I found on the street parked above where they were filming the broken taxi... just parked on the street and the Daily Bugle truck that you've already seen. I went back to the site and they had guys washing all the debri away. I sat and talked to one of the guys who built the set, and he told me the scene which they were filming and that I saw the previous couple days. He said, basically there is a crane on the corner roof of a building and it breaks taking the whole corner offices with it, and Gwen being in the office holds on to a telephone wire and it breaks then Spider-Man saves her. Meanwhile Eddie and Captain Stacy are there waching and what not.

What else can I tell you... Oh yeah, they said they will be filming starting Wednesday.. that's today, at Wall Street on a broken down construction set, where they will be filming a big fight sequence. My guess is that it's a cool place to battle Sandman.

Oh yeah, Sam also said that we will probably not see Venom in the teaser.

I call bs, they'll show Venom. Thats just stupid not to.

What?? In the teaser?? This early??? Really, I can't imagine SONY has anything worth showing this early except the title logo and coming soon Spring 2007..

Holy Christ!!! Now here is the basic breakdown of the story for SPIDERMAN III and how everything unfolds from SUPERHEROHYPE.. WARNING: This Summary is EXTREMELY SPOILER RIDDEN SO HIGHLIGHT AT YOUR OWN RISK:

About 13 pages into the script you get to know the Sandman, the alien symbiote and the GG2. The alien symbiote originates from a meteorite, it happens to get in contact with Peter and follows him to his apartment. It's in there and waits…

We see an early fight with the GG2, in which Spidey gets his ass kicked. But then everything turns and the GG2 is thrown into a narrow alley, where he runs his head into a web that almost kills him. Peter saves him, but Harry doesn't remember a lot. So there we have another amnesia in the comic world! Flint turns into Sandman when he is being chased into a molecule testing area and boom… he becomes Sandman.

MJs career isn't getting on very well and she's a little bit envious of all the fame Spidey is receiving. At the same time, Peter is trying to propose to MJ. Gwen Stacy appears as Peter's tutor, as they're both attending Dr. Connors' class. She's also described as a floozy and was meeting Eddie Brock, but it was nothing serious. She gets to know Spider-Man during a Spider-Man Day event and kisses him upside down. This does not last long, as Sandman hijacks an armored car. Spider-Man appears and tries to save the day. Imagine that fight like the sand storm from "The Mummy Returns". The fight ends up with Sandman fleeing, but not before Brock takes a photo of a defeated Spider-Man. When Peter finds out how to propose to MJ, they meet in a café. Gwen comes in just to ask whether he has this picture of her kissing Spider-man. MJ doesn't like that at all.

Brock, who according to the script was hired one week before, and Peter compete for one of the steady jobs at the Bugle. Both take photos of spider-man, but only Brock's don't put him in a good light. At the same time, Peter and aunt may are called to the police station where they receive shocking news: it seems that uncle Ben's murderer from the first film actually isn't his murderer, but only a guy that helped. The true murderer is… as assumed…Flint Marko! Peter takes it personal with Sandman. He hunts him quite down, without success. Only in case he sits in front of the radio set. He even pushes MJ away when she tries to confront him because of the photos. He sleeps with the radio set and that's the perfect moment for the symbiote to make its move. He wakes up high above the city in his black suit. With the power the suit gives him, he easily finds Sandman and an enormous fight takes place that leads to Sandman getting a load of water.

Spider-man returns to his apartment where this Russian guy ticks him off because of the rent. But Peter doesn't care. He tells the guy off and you see a hint of the alien symbiote's true nature, with all the teeth etc. MJ gets a new job and visits Harry for the first time after peter is turning her down. At that moment, Harry starts to remember everything. They kiss, but she runs out of the door after realizing what she's done. When she returns to her apartment, someone's waiting for her: GG2. He makes her to meet Peter, so that he could force her with the threat of killing peter to quit with peter and go with him. Peter suffers from the symbiote's blind rage, but he doesn't care. He confronts Brock, who faked photos of spider-man. Peter proves this and gets him fired by JJJ. Peter brings his suit to Dr. Connors, who has a lot of lizard stuff on his walls.

The next day, he goes out with Gwen to the place where MJ is performing as a singer. Her father bugs her for money. Peter steals her spotlight and Gwen realizes that he does this only to get MJ back. She runs away. Peter gives a **** about it and goes on at everyone. MJs father doesn't like this and confronts him. But Peter tosses him and beats MJ. He realizes that the suit makes him do these things and decides to get rid of it. He swings onto the top of a church and tries to get rid of it unsuccessfully. Hating spider-man for pinching his ex, and hating Peter for being fired because of him, Brock goes into the church to commit suicide. But lucky for him to be there. And luckily the church bell rings and the costume melts away… and lands in Brock's hands: Venom is born!

Venom finds Sandman and teams up with him, in order to kill Spider-man. They kidnap Gwen and bring her on top of a 70 stories high building for the classic drop scene. Venom and sandman kick the hell out of Spider-Man which brings MJ to beg Harry to help him. He comes to the rescue when Venom is trying to impale Spider-Man. The fight rages with one pumpkin bomb to another. Gwen falls, but is saved without a broken neck. She wants to kiss Spider-man again, but he refuses. Venom tries to impale Spider-man again but Harry gets in his way and takes over control.

There's a subplot about the Sandman, according to which he commits all the crimes in order to raise money for the health of his child. But who cares about that. By the way, the child is the one who begs Sandman not to fight Spider-Man anymore. Peter remembers the bell and starts ringing it, so that the noise helps him to win the fight.

MJ, Gwen and Peter are still alive, however, Harry is not. At least he forgave Peter before dying.

This really is shaping up to be EXCELLENT and any doubts that Raimi is overloading this movie with too many villains or has the potential to end up like the last 2 Schumacher BATMAN movie's should relax knowing this movie REALLY is in good hands with Sam Raimi.. This very well could've went by the wayside like the X-MEN Saga with Singer leaving the way it turned out and it didn't.. Besides, Raimi is a down and out true fan that won't fuc* this up.. This movie will be a fans dream come true and already I'm excited, even a year in advance....
