I'm torn when it comes to this movie. On one side i'm all for a new fantasy film, the preproduction art looks great, WETA is involved - YAY! :razz: (although i remain a bit sceptical, reason being the fact that the main characters are children, don't want this to turn out another kiddy Harry Potter like flick, i despise Potter!!! ), but on the other hand i don't like it at all that Walt Disney is releasing it merely five days prior to my precious (;)) King Kong, will take audience away from Kong (and vice versa), overseas even more so than in the US i believe. Shit...

My thoughts ...

the more and more I think ... the more and more I believe this will be the Shrek 2/ Meet the Fockers of next Christmas.

It is a kids film, accessiable to all ages, and comes out BEFORE the supposed huge hit. I think Kong will do a HUGE opening weekend in the 70m range, and then fall flat on its face like HP3 did. While Narnia gets 30% drops on its way t a massive haul and real competition for Harry Potter.

I actually like the direction Harry Potter seems to be going by the way.
