I must say Short Term 12 did surprisingly well in this category, getting more than five votes.

Re: 10th Annual WOKJ Motion Picture Awards Ceremony LIVE NOW
Best ActorThis category consists of five well-known actors playing real people. It also contains five major performances destined to stand among the most memorable of their respective careers. Christian Bale is an actor known for his intensity and physical transformations, swinging from portraying an ailing, gaunt madman in The Machinist to a dashing and muscular superhero in Batman Begins. He transforms again in American Hustle, portraying an overweight New Jersey criminal with an elaborate comb-over and a line for every situation. As authentic and dedicated an actor as ever, Bale plays the role with charm and energy, convincing the audience this man, however out-of-shape, can still capture the imaginations of others and play them however he wishes. Leonardo DiCaprio, perhaps the highest profile film star of his generation, often plays grim and introverted characters, from the melancholy suburban family man in Revolutionary Road to the desperate international master thief in Inception. In The Wolf of Wall Street, however, he reveals a surprising and explosive comic side of his talent, playing a vice indulging investment-fraud mastermind who inspires the men under him and cons his trusting clients the way a Southern Baptist preacher rouses his congregation, leaving no stone unturned or volume level unreached. Highly respected British character actor Chiwetel Ejiofor plays his most complicated and intense lead role to date in 12 Years a Slave. Portraying an African American musician living free in the north who is abducted, tortured, and sold into slavery in Louisiana, the riveting actor with large, expressive eyes quietly investigates the question of whether a man can preserve both his dignity and hope despite the total absence of agency. Considering the scope of his oeuvre, ranging from iconic comedies such as Big and Toy Story to powerful dramas such as Cast Away and Philadelphia, it is not minor praise to say Tom Hanks delivers one of his finest performances ever as Captain Richard Phillips, the American merchant mariner who survived abduction by four Somali pirates in 2009. It is a convincing portrayal of a levelheaded man, one in his element at sea, who is caught in the center of a dangerous situation spiraling further and further out of control, a situation which ends with an abrupt explosion of violence and his astonished devastation. If Christian Bale is an actor known for his devotion to his craft and ability to transform himself to play a role, Matthew McConaughey is not. However, after years of credibility undermining roles in cut-rate romantic comedies, the handsome actor is now in the midst of a glorious and unexpected revival, earning rave reviews from both film and television critics and establishing himself as a serious actor of the highest order. The second wind is bolstered and solidified by his rigorous and soulful turn in Dallas Buyers Club as a hard-living, homophobic, and profane Texan who is sidelined by an AIDS diagnosis which forces him to question his vicious worldview and investigate alternative medications which could prolong his life. And the award for best actor goes to:

There is absolutely no doubt left that Leonardo DiCaprio is WOKJ's most beloved actor.

Yeah...KJ loves Leo. This win is less surprising than last year's for Django though.

Yep I thought so, but I am hoping this does not happen at Oscars.
How much was the difference in votes between the DiCaprio and McConnaughey Lecter?

Most Overlooked Film
as I mentioned in the other thread, 23 different movies have been mentioned here, from Ender's Game and Sharknado over Pacific Rim and Sound City to Lee Daniels' The Butler and The Lone Ranger. Only six films got more than one vote, though....

Re: 10th Annual WOKJ Motion Picture Awards Ceremony LIVE NOW
I ended up championing Inside Llewyn Davis here, though there are other great options, such as All Is Lost and The Lone Ranger.
