The funniest movie produced since Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Uncut version didn't add much but I'm looking forward to watching the bonus film.
The bonus film has a couple funny scenes (there is a Brick scene eating in a cafeteria that is a classic), but it really was mostly like watching an 1 1/2 of deleted scenes strung together loosely with a weak story. In other words it was semi-watchable, but nowhere near the movie that the original is.

One of the best third acts in recent memory. And Nat, come on. She's great.

Didn't watch anything today so far. I'm just updating my thoughts on Not Without My Daughter, which I finished up in school today. I'd say that the first hour or so is very good and quite interesting, but the last half hour was a bit weak. I didn't like the relatively boring, happy ending. I mean, sure, happy endings are good, but the way this movie ended, it seemed to easy after what happened in the rest of the movie. It was still a pleasure to watch this movie, and Sally Field and Alfred Molina were both excellent in their roles.
Next Movies: Hotel Rwanda, Elektra, and Without a Paddle

Ug, ug, ug. Bad Boys II is seriously one of the worst movies I've ever endured. Besides having boring, repetitive action sequences, it has truly tasteless, derogatory comedy.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, though. Heh.

1. The Aviator (2004) -- 1/7 A+
2. Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle (2004) -- 1/8 A-
3. Anchorman: Unrated (2004) -- 1/9 A
4. Comedian (2002) -- 1/10 B
5. Napoleon Dynamite (2004) -- 1/11 B
6. Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) -- 1/11 C
7. The Terminal (2004) -- 1/12 A+
8. Superman: The Movie (1978) -- 1/13 A+
9. The Villiage (2004) -- 1/13 B-
10. Elektra (2005) -- 1/14 C+
Elektra isn't bad, but it isn't good either. There were many plotholes, and the action scenes were too choppy and full of CGI.

From the Marvel movies I have seen, here is how I would rank them.
1. Spider-Man 2 -- A+
2. Daredevil -- A
3. Blade II -- A
4. Hulk -- A-
5. X2: X-Men United -- A-
6. X-Men -- B+
7. Blade -- B
8. Spider-Man -- B-
9. Elektra -- C+
10. The Punisher -- C+
So Elektra is towards the bottom of my list, but it's by no means a bad movie. It just wasn't good enough.

Since you haven't seen Blade III, I wonder how that shitfest compares to Elektra.

1/8/2005: Scream 2 -- 8.0/10 (A-)
1/9/2005: Scream 3 -- 7.5/10 (B+)
1/10/2005: White Noise -- 7.0/10 (B)

1/14/2005: Saw -- 8.3/10 (A-)
1/14/2005: Elektra -- 5.8/10 (C+)
Saw
---
One of the most horrific films I've seen in quite a while. Compelling, while at the same time completely repulsing. A knock-out ending solidifies this as one of my top horror films of all time.
Elektra
---
Stylish but ultimately unsubstantiative. Not the worst superhero/comic-book film, but certainly far from the best. Gardner provides a solid performance but sadly she cannot save the film from itself.

l absolutely love this movie...just bought the 2 disc special edition; l believe this is the international version, as it's quite a bit different and longer than the one l'd previously seen. the extra footage only makes it better, though. great movie.

I dunno. I was lazy and tired and it was on Cinemax HD channel. It's the polar opposite of Bamboozled, which I watched the night before and exactly the film that it warned against.
I also found it strangely odd that the main character... I had to look on IMDB... Ed looks really, a LOT like a woman in drag and that the characters go around talking about stealing Ed's sauce. Strangely homoerotic.
It only gets saved from F status by a bizarre dance sequence inside a mental ward, led by Ed, Abe Vigota and George Clinton.

I can't put Hotel Rwanda into words right now. You'll see it all in my review. Elektra was entertaining, but a bit dissapointing. The story was weak, as was the ending. The action scenes were beautiful, as was Jennifer Garner's body.

Once Upon A Time In Mexico... good action. Johnny Depp is great. I am completely lost in it though. The whole kneecap thing looked pretty cheesy.
Silver City... failed to make an impact on me. Ensemble piece about a land deal and a dead migrant worker that nobody seems to care about and how it all connects to Chris Cooper who plays a Colorado governer canidate, needed to be handled a bit more seriously. Otherwise it's a weird and failed comedy (or drama?).

Now that you've seen Hotel Rwanda (which I still need to see, ugh), do yourself a favor and attempt to see Sideways and Million Dollar Baby. I have a feeling that if Rwanda emotionally affected you, Baby will probably also do the same.
Cheers.

It's on my list. I loved Mystic River, so I was planning to see Million Dollar Baby.

Marvel Films:
X-Men -- A
X2 -- A
Spider-Man 2 -- A+
Spider-Man -- A+
Blade -- A
Blade II -- A
DareDevil -- A-
The Punisher -- A-
Elektra -- B
Blade: Trinity -- A+
Ah, how I love Marvel. Like everyone else said, Elektra is near the bottom of the list, but it's certainly not bad.

It's a funny comedy, but it's not hilarious. Just a fun movie to watch.
