Mindhunters comes out of nowhere and takes an A, the #3 spot of the year. Shockingly good. Only the wee bit batched ending takes away what would be a #2 of the year. Still, one of the biggest surprises I ever had. Such a sweet movie.

Well, I read the books (readng the last one right now) and the book is definitely better than the movie. The movie doesn't really have much in common with the book. The movie is only the first third of the first (of three) books. So it's all quite a mess....

The second book in the series is great. With a decent budget of $40-50 million, they could make a great movie out of the source material in Hollywood.

I don´t think money was the problem... the movie looked more than Ok. What they´d need is a story that makes sense, It´s actually properly explained, better acting... I actually hardly remember anything of the film already, never a good sign. Regardless, I think Fox has bought the whole trilogy (Nightwatcher and the other two, whom I guess must be in pre-production) and plans to give them a wide release in the US...
