Final Analysis - I rented it from netflix, and it turned out that I actually saw this before, probably on TV some sunday afternoon. It's been a while, so I didn't remember much of it, and I liked it as much as the first time. It was entertaining. 7.5/10.

Cold Creek Manor- D-
Where do I start? This movie was just bad on so many levels! It has so much potential, and it was a wasted opportunity. The story could of been explored a lot more differently, and it could've been a lot more suspenseful, and interesting. The actors are all bad too, with the exception of Stephen Dorph who plays his character well. The pacing is slow, and boring. It seems way too long for this kind of movie, and the ending is unsatisfying, and just retarded. One of the worst movies of 2003, and I'm never going to watch this piece of shit film again.

Sideways - I finally saw this. I was thinking of putting it off until video, but based on my experiance with Netflix it can take forever to get a new release.
I admit it didn't look that great to me, and I wasn't looking forward to it that much. It was certainly alot better then I expected, and it's among my top 20 of last year. Really enjoyable. I think I'll buy it next week and see it again. It seems to have replayability.

This movie is nothing short of amazing. Evan Rachel Wood makes her debut in this hugely underrated movie. Where do I start? This movie is so touching. It has incredible performances, especially from Kevin Bacon, Mary Stuart Masterson, and Evan Rachel Wood. A lot of people rave about ERW performance in Thirteen, but if you watch this film she is just as much impressive in this role. She's such a talented actress, and she has a very bright future ahead of her. I don't want to give away that much details about this film, because I would rather you go out, rent it, and view it for yourself. Basically, its about this little girl played by Wood that meets a retarded man played by Bacon, and they form a friendship, and confide in each other. Her mother played by Masterson doesn't like this, and repeatedly tells Wood that she is not allowed to see him, but of course she doesn't listen, and continues to hang out with him. It's a very touching movie, and I just love everything about it. The ending is bittersweet, and I like it a lot. Cathy Moriarity is also very good, but she's not in the film that long. I would recommend this to anyone that is a fan of Evan Rachel Wood. You can witness first hand her debut performance, and watch her craft as an actress unfold. It's too bad this film was ignored by the academy. I definitely think it is Oscar worthy, and it's a very emotional movie, that will touch you in more ways than one. Please go rent it now!

Closer
I'm ambivalent. About 3/4 of the film had me in awe with its flawless narrative, perfect consistency, and sheer sleekness, while the other 1/4 frustrated me with its pretentious, meandering "insight." Occasionally, the dialogue feels so crafted that it makes entire scenes feel ridiculously contrived. (The scene with Owen and Portman in the strip club, unfortunately, didn't work for me.) I have free time tonight, though, so watching it again I'll be! Maybe my ambiguity will be gone by tomorrow.

Recently re-watched American Beauty and Annie Hall.
I've considered American Beauty one of my favorites for some time now, and re-watching it just solidifies its place on my list. I loved Annie Hall the first time I saw it but wouldn't have considered it one of my favorites, but now I'd put it up there on my list, too.

ROBOTS - 7/10 (B-)
So much better then last year's THE INCREDIBLES. While the movie isn't terrible, it's on par with SHARK TALE. It was just a fun movie and I enjoyed watching it. I might buy it when it comes out on DVD since I did buy SHARK TALE. I really like the Dreamworks CGI flicks a lot more then the Pixar one's. The only one of Pixar's I really liked was FINDING NEMO (9/10 or A-)

No depth, no emotion, dull, boring, lifeless, etc It just was one bad movie. I am in awe of how stupid this movie really is. I complained about how Aviator repeats itself, man after seeing this, Aviator seems like a masterpiece to me. I love you I love you not, I love you I love you not. It was like a broken record repeating itself. The only slightly redeeming thing about it was it's acting, some scenes were really intense.
