the nutt house, an obscure us-comedy from 1992 written by sam raimi and buddy bruce campbell that was a minor hit in germany and also airs on german tv every few years. i'm sure bradley would love this movie and would give it a rating of 56 out of 5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8HX8r6wFUg

Re: Everyone hated it, but you liked it?
i thought the unborn (2009) was a decent horror flick. not a great one by any means, but i found it a lot more tolerable than the usual horror crap we get served. it delivered a few images that stayed in my mind after the movie ended. judging by its rather bad ratings in the "everyones a critic" forum it seems that this is a film universally hated by the kj crowd. i wonder what makeshift thinks of this one...

I prefer Cutthroat Island to any of the Pirates of the Caribbean flicks. Fuck Jack Sparrow!

Well Driven is one of the first to come to mind. No idea why it's so disliked in general.

The Mummy (2017). Caught it on a plane and it held my interest. It's a mess and Cruise is badly miscast, but I was genuinely surprised that I kind of enjoyed it.

Dracula Dead and Loving it. Brooks last film, such an underrated gem. Does it has as many laughs as his others no, but its still pretty funny and is a really great adaption of Stoker's novel, more so than most.
I would have loved to have seen more Brooks spoofs over the years.

Ones I recently saw:
Soldier - futuristic sci-fi action with non-simplistic development of Kurt Russell's character and a subject matter that is worth further exploring.
Boys and Girls - the romance is believable.
The 11th Hour - unusual plot that holds your attention. I like the interaction between Kim Bassinger's and Jordan Prentice's characters.

Passionate Thug wrote: Alien3 Yep. It's a goddamned mess and it's not the script they should have shot (I truly believe the Ward/Fasano version could have been a classic) but it's visually stunning and has got bigger balls than 90% of franchise films.

Re: Everyone hated it, but you liked it?
Alien3 is a mess. I like the Producer's cut, and I actually think people have warmed up to it. Knowing where the series would go in hindsight, sure it caps things off. I don't think I'll ever forgive that they literally had a softball of a film to be a hit, and they just over complicated everything.
It is still without question a disaster of movie. Easily Fox's biggest fuck up.

Re: Everyone hated it, but you liked it?
I thought Daredevil was shit. Affleck, Colin Farrell, Mannifer and Michael Clarke Duncan. So crap. Might be one of the worst films ever made, along with Terminator Genisys and Elektra. Would have been nice if Affleck did a Reynolds and accepted it for how shit it is, but burying it also works. Also, I don't think Affleck could pull of a Reynolds.

It was no Spider-man but I guess it was entertaining enough. That said - having now seen the Netflix show, it certainly makes the movie look worse by comparison.
