The Pink Panther is simply best described as being a mediocre movie. It had a lot of good ideas that it could have worked with, but as soon as they started getting into certain jokes, the movie would turn away. Nothing felt quite finished.
I give Steve Martin an A, and the movie a C. Steve Martin is still top notch in terms of getting down a physical, comedy role. He was the one good thing about this film, and the source of most laughs from just his physicality alone. The movie didn't focus on him enough, however, and it suffers.

You didn't even see Firewall yet. Yeah, well. I haven't gotten to pick my movie selections a lot recently, I'm always outnumbered in the vote. They always pick the stupid crap like Date Movie and When a Stranger Calls.
I'm hoping we may do a double feature of Freedomland and Eight Below tomorrow.
Firewall can wait for DVD, I'm thinking.

I FINALLY get to my first 2006 movie. I wasn't expecting it to be 2.5 months into the year, heh. My damn theatre has been playing mostly 2005 holdovers and crap like Nanny McPhee all year thus far. Anyways...
