In the article about "The Spring Movies Coming Out", Lucasfilm LTD has come up with the Ultimate Moneymaking Marketing Strategy for "Revenge of the Sith" in that George Lucas will release the Revenge of the Sith Videogame 2 weeks before the release of the movie and that the entire game will be 1 big narrative to the movie following every plot point, everything down to the "T", down to every scene in the film and will reveal the ending before the movie is even released.. There Philosophy on this is that fanboys will shell out $50.00 bucks to buy the videogame and that it's so good that it will wet their appetite for the movie 2 weeks later enabling them to shell out even more $$$ because of the game.. I'll say 1 thing for George Lucas: The Guy should teach a class in Marketing Movies 101 at a University for up and coming filmmakers and how to make a bundle$$$$... This is a wise move I think, despite the fact that I was apprehensive over it when I read it in that who would want the plot point and entire movie spoiled before being released, but after considerable thought, I think it's Brilliant..

well .. lucas always tried to get the most money out of anything .... hell hes the only person I know in the industry charging for spoilers.

Not many people want every plot point of a movie spoiled to them before they see a movie, thats completely stupid.

Population of people buying the video game == people who want to watch episode 3 and own a console.

Knights of the old republic sold about 2 to 3 million copies? Good chance 70% of these people are star wars fanatics (i'm throwin figures here). I doubt more than 60% of them would buy the game to have it spoiled. You do the math.

Mr. Lucas is running a business, and from a money making standpoint, it's yet another example of his genius foresight, but too much is too much. Why not just sell the videogame on the merits of the videogame? The rich get richer because the know how to push the buttons of the poor. :???:
