 Which is better? Rocky or The Terminator? The first films (of major franchises) of the two biggest action stars ever, which is it Rocky (1976) or The Terminator (1984) ?

Wow, thats a tuff one. I love both of them, actually last year is the first time I saw both of them, but I'd have to go with The Terminator.

I have to go with The Terminator, if only because the Rocky poster you posted in here is completely ridiculous. I thought on first sight this was a Charlie Chaplin poster (with Chaplin on the left) :wink:

Its interesting that not one person has agreed with me, yet Terminator didnt win one single award, when Rocky won 3 Academy Awards.
Just seems that people in authority seem to agree with me :wink:

Just seems that people in authority seem to agree with me :wink: Yeah, it's one of those mysteries of the Academy Award. Though in retrosprective no one who voted fot Rocky probably will say they did since Taxi Driver is widely considered to be the far better movie

Yeah...rocky was alright...just not THAT good. Especially the acting by sly...left more to be desired
Terminator I think will always be the more popular of the two
Now if you put terminator 2 against rocky 2....it would not even be close, terminator 2 would prevail!

Terminator is an awesome movie, and it's done by Cameron, who is a favorite of mine, but Rocky is one of the greatest movies in the history of cinema. That beats plain old awesome everytime.

Rocky! Actually Rocky 1-4 were the best of the 80s
I always thought the first Terminator was overated although its a good movie. T2 is a classic
