I'm sure Gellar will make a second one.

Um, according to Korrgan, The Grudge is coming out on DVD in a couple of days.. Why waste your $$$ seeing it at the theatre instead of wating for the DVD??? This movie must really be good if it's still out and packing people in the theatres and all for a PG-13 Horror Film.. See?? Now PG-13 Horror can't be all that bad now can it??

Im getting the dvd on the 14th, its UK release.
But yeah - The Grudge is a truly scary movie. Scarier than The Ring imo.

It doesn't need a sequel. The Grudge was good enough as a stand alone film. The story sucked. The writing sucked. The characters sucked. But jesus christ was it scary. It wouldn't be the same another time.

Gee, so what your saying is, is that you didn't like the movie I guess based on the story sucking, the acting sucking, the editing sucking, the characters sucking, anything else I left out???

Based on the ending, it does. If it's anything like the first, it'll be great.

I enjoyed the "Americanized" Grudge almost as much as I did the originals and I would definitely see the sequel.

I wouldn't say all that sucked. Its characters were a bit flat, and its story was... well, done a lot of times before, and there was no character development, but it was still a good, scary movie. That made up for the lack of an original plot and two-dimensional characters.
And the ending left it open for a sequel. A Grudge sequel would make more sense than a sequel to Saw.

I hope they don't make a sequel. The Japanese sequel was a bad one, but personally I even didn't like the Gellar/Raimi remake. Very unsatisfying.

Now, I loved Saw (obviously). But damn, you're right. I definitely want a Grudge sequel over a Saw sequel. There's more story to tell with The Grudge, but there isn't much to do with Saw.

personally i don't need a sequel of the grudge. but this is Hollywood typical moves. once it's a box office, we can see #2 and #3 in a very short time.

JU-ON: THE GRUDGE was a very two dimensional, unscary and generally hammy horror pic.
THE GRUDGE however, was freaking terrifying.

Okay the movie gets a C- the story had its scarey moments and its nowhere near as scarey asd The Ring. This story was flat and boring, I sure as hell hope Gellar doesw not do a 2nd one cause the ending then would be for nothing.

I still question what was scary about The Ring. It was sure as hell creepy, yes, but nothing actually made me jump in my seat. Ever.

The Ring was scarey cause of the suprise it gave you, sadly alot like the ring. Not meny movies make he jump in fear...being starled yes i've jumped but in fear no never. the ring made me hold my breath and just wait in excitement for what might happen. The Grudge did not make me excited anmd the cast was bland so very bland as least the ring had a good cast.

i think the same way, i just dont see what so scary about the ring!, the only "scary" part whas when Samara pops out of the TV!....and it was, bleh!!....Ringu is much better
i just finished watching The Grudge, and love it!!, i need a sequel!! NOW!!
i actually enjoyde it more than the ring!

A sequel to this will be great. Since there's already a sequel in the original series of films, why not an American sequel?
