AWESOME SCENE!!

There was one incredibly powerful scene in The Passion. Unfortunately, for me, it was the only one.

And people may hate me for this, because so many thought it was a terrible performance, but in "Saw", Cary Elwes' sheer anger towards Jigsaw for kidnapping his family, then crying from his emotional pain, followed by the intensity of the scene where he cut off his own foot was all powerful to me. All of the stuff involving his family would be how any person would react. But no, people thought it was a terrible performance. I don't know what people expected. :?

Now that you mention it, that has to got to be the scene that moved me the most. Her breakdown was heartbreaking. The thing is that it was REAL, and you knew it. It wasn't an actor flying out of a control, it was a real woman who was devestated and upset.

I'm sure I am forgetting a lot, but the last 10 minutes of Ladder 49 were pretty moving.

Indeed. I need to watch Dogville again, I'm not sure I absorbed all of what I thought about it in 1 viewing.
I also forgot the scene in Closer when Anna's taking Alice's photo, great scene.

I hated Dogville the first 30 minutes more than any other movie that year but then I REALLY got into it. I still want to watch it again if it still works at the second time.

Finding Neverland - the last two scenes (this one wins hands down, surprised no one mentioned it yet)

The Notebook - Wow. A lot of the scenes in ehre really got to me. I haven't seen it since July, so I can't remember specifically. I'll have to rewatch it when it comes out on DVD.

Finding Neverland - This one really touched me. I can't quite describe why. I heard lot's of talk about it being corny, but I personally loved it.

Man On Fire - I didn't really cry, but it did leave that feeling of intense sadness in me.

Garden State - I wasn't sad in the least I was almost in tears from the sheer awesomeness of it all. "Good luck with the infinite abyss." "You too." Totally awesome. One of my favorite scenes this year, if not my absolute favorite.

Also, what surprised me, Miracle had a great little scene that I really enjoyed. I can't remember it for the life of me, though.

Monster: the last telephone call with Charlize and Ricci at the end.

In Van Helsing when Kate Beckinsale dies because Huge Jackman accidentally kills her when he's the werewolf, very touching moment. Made me cry like a baby

Ive got that on DVD but havent got around to watching it yet.

I was howling like a kid throughout the Passion of the Christ

also was near to tears [thankfully i didnt cry like all of the women in the theater = totally annoying] at the middle of 13 going on 30 when Jenna went on the train and went home, and the ending was saddd too

The finale of Million Dollar Baby.

Yeah, just thinking about it is sad. Loved the movie more then Mystic River.
