 BATTLE of the SIMILAR FILMS 4 - WW2 films of 1998 Battle 4 - Saving Private Ryan Vs. The Thin Red Line - both star studded WW2 films but that's about where the similarities end.  Spielberg's violent epic or Malik's more cerebral comeback film. Which one do you prefer?

I saw Thin Red Line only once in theaters and hated it back then. At age 12 I was just bored out of my mind. I would love to rewatch it though.
