Post Who will be this year's biggest actor?
I'm not talking about quality and art. I'm just talking like how last year was Ben Stiller's year, he had a lot of projects and many of them turned out well.

I suggest it will be Ewan McGregor:

Star Wars 6
Valiant
Robots
The Island

Anyone have any other contenders? List them! And it's fine to pick a woman, but please limit actors and actresses to ones who have mainly starring or costarring roles, not some character actor who just happens to be in a lot of hits.

Does anyone find that hilarious and depressing at the same time?

I think Portman's likely to be bigger than Alba. V For Vendetta will probably make nearly as much as Sin City, and Star Wars Episode 3 will make, at least, $100m more than Fantastic Four.

Nicole Kidman is supposedly in 4-5 movies. Betwitched and The Intepreter all have potential to cross $100m, so, you never know. I doubt she'll go the Jude Law route where all the movies disappoint, but, whether they will all be $80m+ is a bit of a stretch too.

Naomi Watts will probably be more succesful this year than Jessica Alba, i see Kong and the Ring 2 combined taking more than Sin City and Fantastic Four.

As for male then yeah, Ewan Mcgregor it is.

This is the year of Ralph Fiennes. He has The Constant Gardner, the White Countess, Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire, Chromophobia, and The Wallace and Grommit Movie. I expect him to get an Oscar nomination for either The White Countess or The Constant Gardener.

Actress....could be Charlize Theron in Aeon Flux (action flick w/ Frances McDormand) and Class Action/Untitled Niki Caro Project (Oscar-bait movie w/ Frances McDormand).

What about Christian Bale, he has a summer box office monster in Batman Begins and then he has the historical drama for the award season, in the New World.

Agree with Ralph Fiennes. Also Orlando Bloom has Elizabethtown and Kingdom of Heaven, two movies that has good early buzz. On the actress side, Uma Thurman has three more movies scheduled this year: Prime, The Producers, and Accidental Husband.
