Buzz Lightyear is Recalled to Taiwan
The Sun-Sentinel has uncovered more story details about Disney's Toy Story 3, which the studio is developing without Pixar, at least for now.
The newspaper says that about 40 people are working on the film at Disney's new animation unit and confirms that Bradley Raymond, who directed The Lion King 1½, and Roy Conli, who produced Treasure Planet and The Hunch Back of Notre Dame, are in talks to join the project.
Disney does not have a commitment from Tom Hanks and Tim Allen to reprise their voice-over roles as Woody and Buzz Lightyear. Disney has yet to approach the pair.
The article adds that the third film follows the adventures of Buzz after he is recalled to the Taiwan factory where he was built. Production is expected to begin next year for release in 2008.
