Well if I had to speculate (and you know you want me to), in a situation like that I'd bet the relationship was over some time ago but they held on for appearances sake to not mess up his publicity and hurt the movie's awards chances.

Sandra Oh is one of my favourite actresses from the little ive seen of her. She has a natural charisma and a whole hearted blatantness thats tough to find in most actresses who are all smiles.

Heh, I bet if someone dug up stats of the divorce rate in compared to the general divorce rate in the U.S. they'de find it no higher. I think plenty of celebrity marriages last, the media just loves to play up the ones that don't. So it feels like there are more.
Sandra's fun, I thought she was great in Sideways. She'll be fine.

Can you name one that has lasted? I can't think of one. Not to disprove your point, because I do agree, but I really can't think of one that has lasted... #-o
