Look at the list above of upcoming movies based on either movies of TV shows from the 70's (with some 60's and 80's mixed in for good measure.)

Plus other remakes and/or comic book adaptations and/or sequels to movies that are rooted in earlier times.

Batman Begins
War of the Worlds
Fantastic Four
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith

All this prompts me to ask: Who are making the movies now, so that Hollywood will have material to remake 30 years from now. ;) Or will they just have to settle for making a remake of the remake of Bad News Bears?

Yes that's true, and I do give them a pass. Especially War of the Worlds and Fantastic Four, both of which I'm really looking forward to. War of the Worlds because it's Spielberg and FF because it was one of my favorites growing up. (I hope it doesn't suck. I'm hopeful.)

I'd say put the remake of Bad News Bears and Dukes of Hazzard on the Guillotine right now.
