Lionsgate had been planning on releasing the horror film Dibbuk Box in that spot, but then it moved to January 6th, and speculation is that it's so Cabin in the Woods can take its place. Sounds good to me. I'm much more interested in this film than Dibbuk Box. Should be a great Halloween!

I'm sure it'll be back like clockwork in 30 years just like it always is (1890's, 1920's, 1950's, 1980's, 2010's) to suck in another generation with a couple of years of eye crossing BO squeezing exploitation, but until then... good riddance.

I'm STOKED to see this particularly property get out of development hell. Everything I've heard makes me think this will be a funny and clever horror-comedy filled with some great monsters. Here's hoping!
