The BATMAN BEGINS Soundtrack To Be Done By Rock Groups??
I was over at RT and someone posted a thread on this subject.. How come the BATMAN BEGINS Soundtrack isn't being done by like John Williams or Jerry Goldsmith or something a little more sweeping and orchestra sounding?? What the hell??? Here's a list of the so called Rock Groups doing this soundtrack which just perplexes me to no end I saw at RT and it's Quoted as saying:
'ExtremeBatmanfan' has possibly more on the Batman Begins soundtrack:
I have a followup to my scoop about Green Day being apart of the Batman Begins soundtrack. Well, I have done some major digging around and have found out some more bands that will be on the soundtrack. In addition to the three songs from Green Day (the two newly recorded tracks, and Boulevard Of Broken Dreams, the theme to the film), newly recorded tracks from The Cure, Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver, Audioslave, Pearl Jam, Dave Navarro, Chevelle, and Metallica. Making for a total of 11 songs.
I'm sorry, but why is WB going this route instead of making it more Orchestra sounding??? Christ, that would be like Star Wars being done by Metallica or Aerosmith or something like that.. Can you imagine that??? I could be wrong, but I don't recall the other BATMAN movies having Rock Groups do the Soundtrack for those movies, Burton wise.. Hmmm :???:

Regardless of the soundtrack....which is irrelevant to the movie, I still cannot wait

I don't see how this is wrong. I think having rock bands is awesome, especially Green Day. This might not even be true though.

Green days song is rather appropriate but sadly not his voice. The song will probably play during the credits. The rest of the soundtrack will probably be just in a CD. Begins has someone credited with composing its entire "movie soundtrck music" and most, if any of the songs, will never make it to the print.
Secondly: This rock band news thing has already been proving wrong. bkb, please do your entire research instead of using old news to justify whatever agenda you have. some of the bands above have already confirmed they have nothing to do with the begins music.

Its not as if none of the Batman used crappy pop songs in their movies. You remember that joke in Shaun of the Dead where Shaun and Ed were deciding on what album to throw at the zombies. They passed up on Purple Rain and Sign of the Times but then they decided to use the Batman Soundtrack as a frisbee on the zombies. It was an inside joke that Prince started getting crappy after the Batman soundtrack was released

Glad to see that. I was getting worried for a second there - those are some shitty bands.

Don't ever dare call Audioslave(and more specifically Chris Cornell) shitty. Chris Cornell is the god of vocals.
Pearl Jam rocks too.

Grunge is probably the single most overrated musical genre of all time. Pearl Jam is an average rock band that got swept up in a trend and became icons.
I guess Audioslave isin't that bad. I liked Tom Morello when he was with Rage Against The Machine.

Out of those bands listed only Metallica and the Cure sound decent. Then again its not if all the past Batman movies had great soundtracks

Pearl Jam is great. Barely do you ever have to pick up one of thier albums and find about 8 songs in it made to just finish up the album. Barely any song of theirs you can pick up and really call bad. Vedder can cater to different styles if required.
Soundgarden was the band of all bands. Cornell's vocal range is just remarkable.

What do you mean not Orchestra sounding? James Newton Howard is working on the original music ( just got nominated for best score for The Village )

Tuesday, February 2, 6:09 PM CST: As I said, that soundtrack rumor sounded sort of "too good to be true." I hope you all took it with that big grain of salt as I advised because as it turns out, the "news" was BS. SHH has called themselves out on their own rumor.
Batman Begins Soundtrack Bit Debunked
Source: Superhero Hype! February 2, 2005
So much for the credibility of "scooper" 'ExtremeBatmanfan' who claimed he had details on the Batman Begins soundtrack. An anonymous, and yes credible, source checked in this morning:
After reading the rumor about the Batman Begins soundtrack yesterday, I made some calls to see what I could come up with. Metallica's management has insisted that they will not be on the soundtrack.
There you have it, we'll let you know when we hear more official info
