Post AICN/Quint Visit The Set Of KING KONG Diary #1..
http://aint-it-cool-news.com/display.cgi?id=19182

Now I didn't read all of this cause in all honesty, it sounded pretty boring and really they've shown nothing that we haven't already seen, however, what caught my eye was the begining where Quint said this movie costs 200 Million to make, plus the amount of Monsters Peter Jackson is throwing in this movie feels more like Jackson's attempt at remaking JURASSIC PARK more than a KING KONG movie.. It almost sounds like too much overload on the Monsters and trying to turn this into a super action fanboy movie than an honest remake of a Classic movie like the original KING KONG was.. You read it and be the judge.. Chances are, Diehard lovers of Jackson will not find any fault with this, but I realy hope this isn't the case.. :-k I don't want this to be a JURASSIC PARK remake where Jackson's trying to outdo Spielberg cause that's the impression I'm getting from reading this..

This was just a saying. Most probably the 200m figure came from the fact that often the estimated budget is being reported by NZ media to be NZ$200m which is about $130m.

As if King Kong the original didn't have plenty of monster action, akin to Jurrasic Park (Lost World)...

Would have this been a report about EP3 you would be drowning in your own slobber by now. Hypocrite.

Wrong.. The Original KING KONG didn't have 1 on 3 Monster battles with 3 T-Rexes and Giant Swamp Monsters that lok like Centipedes and Lobsters like this.. I think it was Maverikk who said that too many monsters in this movie will bog this down and make this look more like a competition to see if Jackson can outdo Spielbergs JURASSIC PARK than a remake of the original KING KONG.. ](*,)

As for drowning in my own slobber over EPISODE III??? Believe it or not, I've given alot of criticism of things I've seen from Pics of this movie that I frown on like more of the fucking Trade Federation Droids in this instead of just ushering in the goddamn stormtroopers the way it should be and Yoda passing wind(which Lucas BETTER Not pull this shit either)...

Instead it had 1 on 1 battles with 1 T-Rex and a Brontosaurus attacking in the swamp. Wow, what a big difference...

Those were more "by the way" mentions of yours, most of the time you're gushing over everything EP3, whereas with King Kong you don't seem to find anything positive about it, are telling us over and over again how bad Jack Black's gonna be in the role of Denham and how PJ should stop doing a Jurassic Park clone even though you don't and can't know shit what the film's ultimately gonna be like.

Why is King Kong obsession being driven by a person who doesn't like King Kong or Jackson?

I mean, I like Peter Jackson, and I am anticipating King Kong, but I'm not creating topics on him or his movies. I'm not creating topics like "Jack Black will OWN in King Kong.". Why is it those who admire Peter Jackson's work, being called fanboys and obsessives, have to put up with endless barbs and attacks when we are not the ones starting topics?

Awesome more monsters. I cant wait till they add mecha-King Kong that shoots beams through his eyes. Will Mothra make an appearance too? Maybe T-rex can be called King Ghidorah. I love when these creatures just leap vertically in the air and just drop kicks Godzilla. The more monsers the merrier, I hope they incorporate Kong-fu into the movie too. Whats an action movie with Kung fu. King Kong needs a son too so we can have an actor in a baby King Kong suit wailing out like a Seal. It will draw little kids inn knowing how cute King Kong Jr is

Actually the original film Kong there were 6 other creatures (Aside from Kong) featured in the film -

1) Stegasaurus
2) Brontosaurus
3) Unknown lizard like creature
4) T Rex
5) Elasmasaurus
6) Pteranadon

The original film was also supposed to have 3 extra scenes included in it. One was the lost spider scene which supposedly was too disgusting for it's time and was cut from the film, and the other two were scenes were where the crew from the Venture are being chased towards the log by another charging dinosaur , and the last scene is where Kong does battle with 3 triceratops while defending Ann (He crushes one of the Triceratops head in with a boulder). These two scenes were dropped only because the film ran too long. So basically Jackson is using the idea conceved by the director and writer of the original film.

As for the scorpion creature, this change was made because of a plothole in the original film.....You can't exactly have a Bronto eating people. Brontos arent carnivores.

I really don't see how King Kong can be called a Jurrasic Park rip off . Actually it's the other way around, Jurrasic Park is an homage to King Kong. There were even to small inside jokes in Jurrasic Park and The Lost World paying tribute to King Kong.
Jeff Goldblum's line in JP "What have they got in there?...King Kong?"
And in The Lost World the name of the ship that brings the T-rex to L.A. is the Venture.
