Post Richard Curtis+"Harry Porter 5" director
On June 2005, HBO will air "The Girl in the Cafe", a new TV movie which is written by Richard Curtis(the screenwriter of "Love Actually" and "Bridget Jones's Diary") and directed by David Yates( the director of "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix").

Starring Bill Nighy and Kelly Macdonald, this movie talks about a civil servant "starts an awkward romance with the eponymous girl in the run-up to the G8 conference."

Quote:
A tenderly funny and poignant love story by award-winning screenwriter Richard Curtis ("Love Actually") Directed by David Yates, the film stars Bill Nighy ("Love Actually") and Kelly Macdonald ("Finding Neverland," "Gosford Park"). THE GIRL IN THE CAFÉ faces perhaps the most important issue of 2005: Will this be the year when world powers seriously address the issue of world poverty once and for all? The film is a passionate plea to everyman - wrapped in a love story, a comedy and a unique drama. Premieres Saturday, Saturday, June 25 at 8 pm.

"Remarkable and timely, this film takes on the single greatest moral challenge of our time - Africa - and wraps it up in a love story." -- Bono, singer and activist.

Richard Curtis is one of the best british screenwriters of our era. Besides his above mentioned credits, he also wrote the classic series BlackAdder, the movie Four Weddings and a Funeral and the excellent TV movie Bernard and the Genie.
