Miramax's presidents buys NEW POLICE STORY and THE PROMISE
The Weinstein Company(Harvey and Bob Weinstein's post-Miramax company; they will leave Miramax on 9/30/2005) has acquired the US rights of Chen Kaige's "The Promise" and Jackie Chan's "New Police Story". (The Weinstein Company will release Jackie Chan's "New Police Story" with Lions Gate.)
"New Police Story" is very terrible! They will lose money on this movie.
