Yeah, I have it downloaded, but I haven't watched it yet. Sometime during the weekend probably.

just saw it.
good but not great. I prefered the original cut of shaolin soccer to this one. while shaolin seemed more like a complete story, this one seemed more of a complete chapter out of a book. just some random event that took place over a course of a few days. weird development of character and story. great acting and funny and some good action.
its worth a watch but no shaolin soccer here.

there is a sequel to this movie, and i read in some articles that Sony had already greenlighted the sequel of Kung Fu Hustle.

I loved Shaolin Soccer9. I doubt it'll be as great as it.

Yeah, but I think associating the two, King Pow, and Shaolin is like comparing apples and oranges. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't Kung Pow supposed to be a complete (and failed) parody/spoof of martial arts flicks? Kind of like the Scary Movie series, etc, while Shaolin Soccer was supposed to be a light-hearted comedy about a soccer team that tried to incorporate martial arts philosophy into its playing style? To me, regardless of if its a comedy, or was successful in its endevours, Shaolin was trying to take itself seriously, while Kung Pow was just a cheap rip-off that assumed everyone would be interested in seeing a guy beat up a digitally manipulated fighting cow.

bABA, I bet he saw the MiramAXED cut of the movie. I'm trying to find somewhere where I can find the Region 1 original of the movie, as I really want to see it but not with Harvey Weinstein's evilness spread all over it.

Agreed with baba here. They are completely different, and it's an insult to Shaolin Soccer to be mentioned in the same sentence as Kung Pow.

Well, I wasn't trying to insult Shoalin Soccer. By no means is it as bad as Kung Pow was, but it wasn't very good either.

IMO KungFu Hustle is better than Shaolin Soccer, i've compared those 2 movies several times for over a month.

yeah i'll second to that, you can't compared Shaolin Soccer with Kung Pow. Kung Pow is a trash, but Shaolin Soccer isn't, the team behind Shaolin Soccer worked really really hard for the movie.
