 CROUCHING TIGER HIDDEN DRAGON PREQUEL!!!
http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2005- ... 713281.htm
BEIJING, March. 18 -- Ang Lee will start making a prequel to "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" this summer in Yunnan Province of southwestern China.
"Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", which was based on part four of Crane-Iron Pentalogy, is China's first blockbuster to win 4 Oscars in 2001, including Best Cinematography, Best Foreign Film, Best Art Direction and Best Song.
The prequel is about the story of young Li Mubai and young Yu Xiulian, played by Chow Yun-Fat and Michelle Yeoh in Crouching "Tiger, Hidden Dragon".

Its going to be god awful. It would be like making a prequel to Romeo and Juliet: The early years. The story of their family fueds was already well established, and no one wants to know more details. They already know how it ends up, and they already had a fair sense of where it went to halfway through. This is asking to take a good memory and beat it to a bloody pulp (read: The Matrix). If Fat and Yeow are smart they'll turn down the roles or lose their careers. Tsk, tsk, Ang Lee should know better than this.
