He he he. Well guys, unbeknowst to me, I was elevated to the position of MOD in this forum whilst I was out enjoying a couple of glasses of cava. I have no idea what that means I should do, and frankly, am too tipsy right now to figure it out, but I will bring out the whip and chains if y'all don't post in here during the festival.

Well, as a moderator, you should definately be using your shouting voice as often as possible, and edit people's posts so it looks like they said stuff that they didnt say.

I concur wholeheartedly...
Now I have a big request for everyone who wants to see the registered users go up. Please print out a flyer with the web address of the 1st Foreign Film Festival thread I started (not the country ones torri and I have) and ask your local video rental place if you can advertise this informal film festival. Most of them will gladly say yes, because it will promote a section of their collection that doesn't rent as much anyways. Lets see if we can draw some new people in and get the film discussions going. Also, I want to make sure there are several people discussing each country, and that's tough with the numbers we have now.
What do you guys think? any other suggestions for how to get people to learn about the film festival and the site?
Mr. X, rusty is pulling together a canadian film festival thread. maybe you want to co-host it with him?

Also, I know all of you that live in the US have access to libraries. Most often, libraries have a small selection of VHS films. And, very often, the ones that are left are the smaller, independent films. So, participating in the festival doesn't have to come from your wallet.

Especially, if you're a woman. Then it may be a purse.

Yes, and plase drop of a little flyer with the video collection of your library if you get your movies from there. Trust me, if you ask the librarian there, (s)he will love it. They're the nicest most enthusiastic people about their material, and few people use the film collections in public libraries, they'll let you leave info about it in a heartbeat. Trust me, I know.

Here it is. It went through several conversions so might be a little fuzzy, but oh well. lol. Let me know what you guys think.
You can download it off of the site and print a couple out to distribute. I'm going to post it as well in the Film Festival thread.

Gratzie Mille Coaster...
I don't usually get to do things like this anymore, so I had a fun little 1/2 hour fishing around for images and playing around with them.
LDV bonus points if you can name each one of the films.

Yes, this is a great forum and one that I know makeshift will enjoy but this is is also a great place for him and I and the other Italian horror nuts to talk about guys like Argento, Fulci et al. Thanks KJ!!!
