2 years after its domestic release, the Chinese film Kekexili is finally being released in 4 theaters this weekend in the states. I don't expect it to do well, and it won't have much of a chance to expand even beyond single digit, but it is a critic hit at both sides of the pond. It won Best Picture at Taiwan Golden Horse and Best Asian Film at Hong Kong Film Awards (the equivalent of Oscar at respective places).

I have gotten a copy from a friend and plan to watch it this weekend. I enjoy this type of story, so hopefully it won't disappoint.
