So.... Dawn of the Apes for the win? Or do they go more popular with Guardians of the Galaxy? (both had really solid effects) Any chance for an Interstellar win?

Also, I could see How to Train Your Dragon 2 winning here, setting up a potential dark horse upset of Lego Movie at the Oscars.

The nom for Grand Budapest really speaks to me of wide support/appeal.

Interstellar will win. I see it as this year's King Kong.

The ones that voted must not be professionals in that field. :disgust:

David isn't a sheep. Neither am I. And off the top of my head neither is Dr. Lecter, Riggs, Harry Warden, Bradley Witherberry, Darth Indiana Bond, BK, Price, Heinrich Himmler, GuybrushX McMurphy, the San Diego Film Critics Society, the Nevada Film Critics Society, Richard Roeper, and Ricky Gervais. ;)

Bad news for Interstellar. The Oscars and the VES haven't matched up only twice since 2002: 2004 (VES awarded Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and the Academy went for Spider-Man 2) and 2007, when Transformers won the VES, but the Academy inexplicably awarded The Golden Fucking Compass.

It is Apes' now to lose.

I've always thought it was Apes' to lose.

It'll essentially be them awarding Serkis because he keeps getting robbed for his acting.

Wasn't King Kong already awarding him?

Wouldn't be surprised if Interstellar is 3rd in terms of the Oscars race....Apes, Guardians, Interstellar.

If that was the case then either Two Towers and Return of the King were both rewarding him. I remember when they tried pushing him for Best Supporting for ROTK.
