Man of Steel is showing up nowhere. I am a bit surprised to not see Oz the Great and Powerful here. The Great Gatsby will presumably win the corresponding Oscar honoring art direction in general.

Both are around 10,000,000 miles outside "the season" and "the race," but both Stoker and Trance would be extremely deserving nominees in the contemporary category, perhaps replacing August: Osage County and Captain Phillips.

Also: interesting how Gravity is considered fantasy. This despite their burning desire for a realistic depiction of space! ;)

Maybe the use of lots of CGI makes it more suitable for fantasy category in their mind?
