The critics consensus is starting to form on Jared Leto and Cate Blanchett.

That would be nice to see Leto accepting an Oscar.

Cate Blanchett's ham-hysterics performance is overrated.

Boo you whore.

Cate Blanchett is my pony in this year's Actress race despite the fact that Sandra Bullock is basically my favorite actress. I think her work in Blue Jasmine is the best performance she's ever given.

I'm gonna be surprised if Jared Leto ends up winning the race, when I was watching the movie I didn't think he'd be a contender.

It was a very good performance but he was missing a real WOW scene, IMO.

It is the scene where he goes to see his stern, square father for money.

I thought that was a good scene, but it needed a little more.

That being said, I'd have no issue with him winning.

Leto was incredible in the scene David mentioned as well as the scene where he's about to be taken to the hospital.

Leto's performance in DBC is beautiful. So understated and lovely. Glad he's the frontrunner.
