Post KJ's 7th Annual Official Oscar Game
Here it is again, the 7th Annual official KJ version of the Oscar Game. And for the third year in a row, I will monitor it.

For those are you who are new, or if you need a refresher, Here are the rules....

Here is how the scoring works.... You must RANK all the nominees for every category.

If your top ranked film in a specified category wins, you get 5 points. If the film that wins was your second choice prediction, you'll get 4 points and so on. Here is an example.

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR

1. Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds)
2. Christopher Plummer (The Last Station)
3. Matt Damon (Invictus)
4. Stanley Tucci (The Lovely Bones)
5. Woody Harrelson (The Messenger)

If Christoph Waltz wins, I receive 5 points. If Plummer wins, I'll get 4 points. If Harrelson wins, I'll get 1 point.

For those categories that have 3 nominees. The first choice gets 3 points if correctly predicted. The second 2 points, and the third, 1 point. Every category (yes, all 24) is up for prediction. So, the more categories you predict correctly, the more points you are gonna get.

Here are the categories

Post Re: KJ's 7th Annual Official Oscar Game
First off, here are the stupid tiebreaker questions.

What color will the best actress winner wear? - White
How many different films will have a win in the acting categories? - 4
Which movie will win the most Oscars and how many? - Hurt Locker - 6
How many Best Picture nominees will win at least one Oscar? 6
Will the Sound and Sound Editing winner be the same film, or split? same
Will Best Picture and Best Director be the same film, or will they split? same
Of all the winners, how many of them will have facial hair? 13
Who will be featured last in the In Memoriam portion? Karl Malden

and finally, the tiebreakers of the tiebreakers
How long will the show be (in hours and minutes).
3 hrs. and 37 mins.

Price got the most of these right with four, but now, here are the rankings.

Kenspy - 114
Alex Y. - 112
Marshall Viper - 110
Gunslinger - 107
Price - 103 (won the tie breaker)
i.hope - 103 (tied with trixster in the tiebreaker, but got closer to the running time).
trixster - 103
be.ready - 102

Despite his hatred for the useless tiebreaker questions, Kenspy is the winner of this years game congrats. Here is your trophy. :1st: Enjoy. Thanks for the few for participating in this game.

Congrats to Kenspy and thanks to Scottie for doing this. :D It was fun. The Oscar-minutiae-obsessed tiebreakers are great.

Please do it again next year.

Wow surprised i still got second even though i got 8 categories wrong (Picture, Actress, Original Screenplay, Adapted Screenplay, Foreign Language Film, Animated Short, Sound Editing, Sound Mixing). I thought i'd get last place or something.

Oh wow, very cool! Didn't even think to check because I did so badly on the shorts & sound categories (which killed my other pools).
