Re: For The Third Year, AMC Theatre's Best Picture Showcase
The last film I would put in the 10PM slot is Frost/Nixon. To date, I've only fallen asleep during two films (and I've done dozens of midnight showings). The Psycho remake and Good Night, and Good Luck, the latter reminds me a lot of Frost/Nixon.

I'd consider Frost/Nixon to be the second most "entertaining" of the bunch due to Ron Howard's direction. The Reader I actually did fall asleep during the first act, but that was more due to tiredness and also was watching a computer version so can always resume later on. Benjamin Button I wish I had fallen asleep or just left the theater entirely rather than waste my time.

I've seen all 5, and Benjamin Button is probably the only one I would not wish to sit through again. Slumdog and Frost/Nixon are the ones I'd love to re-watch right now.

Re: For The Third Year, AMC Theatre's Best Picture Showcase
I would love to do this one year when there are actually multiple films I'd want to rewatch in a row.
here are the previous 2 schedules
Michael Clayton - 11:00 a.m. There Will Be Blood - 1:20 p.m. Atonement - 4:20 p.m. Juno - 7:00 p.m. No Country For Old Men - 9:00 p.m.
Babel - 11:00 a.m. The Queen - 1:45 p.m. The Departed - 3:45 p.m. Letters From Iwo Jima - 7:00 p.m. Little Miss Sunshine - 9:45 p.m.
That stretch from 11 am to 9:45 pm in 2007 looked particularly damaging.

Yeah the only thing I'd skip is that Benjamin Button ordeal.

This would be very easy to sit through if the BP line-up had been:
Slumdog Millionaire Wall-E Vicky Cristina Barcelona Gran Torino The Dark Knight

I would not wanna do that, even if the movies were good (since I haven't seen any of them I duno) - such a rataon would ultimately dimish my enjoyment of the films, as least as the day would go on...

When would be the last year you could manage? 2004 was pretty solid. 1997 was a solid bunch of nominees, but Titanic, LA Confidential and As Good as It Gets are almost 8 hours alone.
