The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay - BP nominee?
Next film by Stephen Daldry.
Plot:
"Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, the film takes place in 1930s New York and is about two young cousins who create a comic book superhero named The Escapist, who "roams the globe, performing amazing feats and coming to the aid of those who languish in tyranny's chains!" The boys help usher in the golden age of comics, and through the years, The Escapist encounters adversaries similar to real-life figures."

I can't see him going 4 for 4. Doesn't really sound like an Oscar film to me

mhm. So we already know two of next year's five BP noms: this and the Eastwood-Mandella project.

Unless they screw it up, this will have a pretty strong case going for it.
