Yah, the classification of Birth as a fantasy film is really beyond me.

But then you can call The Butterfly Effect Fantasy as well, I guess... Also I read that the ending leaves the viewer guessing if it all is actually supernatural.

I would. Then again, I'm really hardcore with my science fiction. Even Star Wars is fantasy to me. The Day After Tomorrow and I, Robot are really the only Science Fiction films on there.

The ending leaves me guessing whether or not I should have spent $4 on the rental

Well, well, well...

Looks like we have found something we agree on. :-$
I have always insisted on Star Wars being classified as fantasy, not science-fiction.
We...agree...on something... *Apocalypse starts, Finding Neverland sweeps the Oscars*

Oh and I would classify The Day after Tomorrow as a disaster flick, not sci-fi (maybe as adventure...)

Yes, because even though you thought Rwanda would be a Best Picture nominee, you haven't abandoned ALL logic. ;)

Yeah. And I would qualify I, Robot as an URBAN DANCE ROBOT porno but I guess these two have some big sci-fi elements.

I'm really stingy with my sci-fi. :(
