I'm incredibly excited to see who will win. Their choices will certainly stir up things for the Oscars, for me personally, depending on their choices.
Best of all, it's being aired on TNT so I can watch them live!
PEACE, Mike

There's no doubt about Foxx winning the SAG.
But if Bening takes the win from Swank and I don't know who from Freeman, it will mix things up quite a bit.

I don't see how Hillary Swank can lose this.
Annette already won for American Beauty and her performance in Being Julia di=oes not top that of her win 5 years ago.
On the other hand, they haven't given Swank one AND her performance in this is at least on par and arguably better than her turn in 99's Boys Don't Cry.
Annette Benning is simply in the race because the academy wants to give it to her. Otherwise this race would have Hillary Swank as the clear leader but with more of a surprise factor from both Staunton and Kate Winslet

But is Annette loses the SAG award she pretty much stands no chance at the Oscar. She HAS to ahve that support from the actors, cause none of the other academy branches (not the writers...) will support her the way actors could.
I actually...just can't see Annette winning this year.

What are your picks for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture?
Is anyone predicting Million Dollar Baby?

Million Dollar Baby can win, but it's only a 3-character piece. The Aviator is much more of an ensemble, with a lot more stars doing small or cameo roles. I still think The Aviator will win. I'm going with Swank and Freeman winning for Million Dollar Baby, and Cate and The Aviator winning in their respective categories, and we're still left with a dead heat going to the finish.

Ray, Hotel Rwanda and Finding Neverland probably won't win, but I wouldn't be surprised to see any of the other 3 winnning it.
1. The Aviator
2. SSideways (a CLOSE second)
3. Million Dollar Baby
The Aviator is the kind of movie that easily seems to win in this category. Umm...wel, I don't really have to say anything...just look at the cast.
Sideways probably DESERVES to win this award. And could.
Million Dollar Baby...3 nominees? Is that enough to get you a best ensemble? If the movie wins I think there is NO way it will lose out on the best picture Oscar. And I think it's a strong possibility...

You mean individual nominees? Only two for Million Dollar Baby, as Eastwood isn't nominated here. Instead, Sideways has three with Paul.

Million Dollar Baby is basically a three actor piece, with only two actors nominated. The same could be said for Sideways, though it managed to get three actors nominated.
I'm still going with Sideways, though The Aviator is a close second. Ray and Hotel Rwanda have no chance. Finding Neverland could be a dark horse.

But the cast consists of 3 people...Clint, Hilary, and Morgan. 3 Actors isn't exactly what comes to mind when you think of a best ensemble SAG award (And I just noticed that it's only 4 for Sideways...hmmm...) Quote: MILLION DOLLAR BABY - Warner Bros. Clint Eastwood - Frankie Morgan Freeman - Scrap Hilary Swank - Maggie

Out of all the past ensemble winners, it looks like The Full Monty and The Birdcage had the smallest cast. How many cast members would you consider for American Beauty, 7?

I was thinking you missed Peter, and yes, Janney was great. Creepy, but great.

Peter would have been an easy one to forget for most people. But I love the sex scenes and the drive thru. Buddy Kane.

I'm going with Million Dollar Baby because it just seems to be swinging that way this year. I don't think The Aviator is an ensemble in the sense that people seem to come in and out of Howard's life and it's really DiCaprio that's doing most of the work, whereas things seem pretty balanced out in Million and Sideways... pictures that are truly ensembles.

I'm curious how Eastwood failed to get a nom here, yet got one from the AMPAS.

To me, ensemble is the most interesting thing as the winners in other categories are more or less pretty certain.
Hopefully, The Aviator wins Ensemble and Sup. Actress and Million Dollar Baby both Actress and Sup. Actor, that'd spice up things even more.

If Cate only had a bit more screen time, Hilary would have been screwed.
