Of course they went for Juno and Depp in Sweeney Todd. The public loves both in spite of pretty noticeable flaws.

This is why I like the Academy Awards and detest the People's Choice Awards. Admittedly, the Academy screws some things up (There Will Be Blood not winning Picture, for example, even though I can live with a No Country win), but at least they're in the ballpark with who deserves it and who doesn't.

I think that if everyone was forced to see There Will Be Blood, it'd have a better turnout than in this poll. But I mean, like 4 times more people have seen Juno than have seen TWBB, so how could it have a chance?

A win for Depp would have been laughable. In his great filmography, this is certainly one of his weaker performances.

I wouldn't have minded Juno winning BP. These choices here (apart from Depp winning, but I wouldn't have been bothered by it) are pretty good IMO.
