Re: So I Finally Watched The Oscars Today...
It was absolutely hilarious watching the reactions to the Golden Compass win in the chatroom. There were like, 50 responses in 10 seconds. No joke. Shame we didn't save them. Nice to know you enjoyed it. As usual the press is bitching about how dull it was like they have for the last four years...

Last night was my first time watching an awards ceremony with the KJ gang in a chat room. Granted I barely said anything while the show itself was on and fell asleep about an hour into it, but it was fun enough. You were missed though.

I'm afraid the Press was right plus the ratings for this show was the lowest it has ever been.. It sucked balls this year and to defend such a dull telecast indicates to me that you didn't watch the same thing I did.. Tom Hanks looked and sounded like someone had a gun to his head during his speech about BAGHDAD and how he drew that out with a hint of sarcasm.. Lighten up Tom..

This is the studio that made Lord of the Rings - the FX studio, not just main studio - and the film featured the most "lavish" and "arty" effects, even if they weren't pulled off best. Transformers was a buncha junkpiles turned into large creatures and AWE was, ultimately, pirate stuff...TGC is the "logical" choice when you take away the actual quality of the FX. However, "300" should've won, and it's absolute bullshit that it didn't win, let alone get nominated.
